MU's release calendar was wrong. They've changed it and there's nothing new there for me this week.

3 issues? WHAT?
Okay, "JIMMY"
;)

Another small Big Two week, but that's fine, enjoying the older stuff from them anyway. No idea what Hoopla will have this week (I've tried guessing from the "comics releases" the last couple weeks and it has been hit and miss so I'm going back to just waiting), but if it isn't much, I will add something from my "favorites". I have about two more issues of Dungeon left to get through to wrap that up.

Marvel Unlimited
Wolverine: Blood Hunt #1 (Juan Jose Ryp on art? Yes please, the ONLY reason I am giving this a try. I hope the writing is decent)
Iron Fist #1 (1975)
Iron Fist #2 (1975)

DC Universe Ultra
Green Lantern #14
Legion of Super-Heroes #259 (1980)
Legion of Super-Heroes #260 (1980)

Hoopla
Dark Spaces: Dungeon (collects issues 1-5)
And... ????????????

1.....1!! MARVEL book...Amazing Spider-man 51. I'm along for the ride!

I guess since they released all the end of X books, we have to wait 3 actual months before it's all out again!

Oops, got the numbering wrong on the Legion issues. I already read that #259 last week. Forgot to update it. And as I have nothing good to say about it, I'll move on.

Dungeon - Not sure how I feel about this. The idea is kind of... off, but it is also good and creepy. I don't want to say what the problem I had with it was until I know if Jeff is going to read this. He read the first mini of Snyder's Dark Spaces brand (Wildfire) so he may read this one, or the rest of them (there is, I think, four mini's in total, but the other two are written by other writers: Hollywood Special and Good Deeds). But hey, as a "free" trade, I won't knock it too badly as I did find parts of it enjoyable, if not predictable, but that said... there is one ludicrous aspect that I just can't over look.

Yes, I added Dungeon into my Hoopla favorites and will get to it when I can.  I didn't know there were others out also.

Immortal Thor 1 - This was just as uninteresting for me the second time as it was the first.  Now I remember why I had decided to skip this.  But my friends swear it gets really good so I will persevere and continue on.  :)

Immortal Thor 2 - still not liking this.  Especially because of how Loki is written.

Immortal Thor 3 - a little better? Maybe? But at least this act is finished and the promise of next issues guest star has me more interested.

Rook: Exodus 5 - Not my favorite issue of the series but understandable why this was needed.  Our hero should now be ready for an epic battle to come.

Ah, I quite liked the issue! A big turning point for the whole series to date!

Wolverine - I only read this as I thought it was a one-shot. It wasn't bad, primarily due to my love of all things Juan Jose Ryp (some panels just look so damn amazing in their detail), but I really have no interest in reading more. Though I will probably add each issue that hits, just to look at the art  ;)

Lantern - Very enjoyable issue. No spoilers, but I enjoyed the gadgets and the use of them as well as where it left us. Also, I was going to skip the back-up story, especially when I saw who was writing it, but I saw that Derrick Robertson was doing the art so I gave it a try. Pretty good, surprisingly, and I think the end may have a big impact later down the line. Or it will never be talked about again. Hard to tell  ;D
EDIT - also forgot one thing...
Spoiler
I think we just saw (from Task Force VII originally) the creation of a character that will sacrifice himself to end the turmoil or a character that will be around after this event, now that he/it has a name: Jadestone!!

Legion - Well, surprisingly, not the worst issue I've read from this title in the last 5 or 6 issues, so that's a plus. Nothing grand, but yes, better.
Spoiler
I did find it funny, the relevance of "The Circus", in the political theater, that they would be important, but different times are different times. Ha. Also noticed that Star-Boy goes to his deep drop V-Neck costume here. Ha. Put him and Cosmic Boy beside each other and you have a very odd looking team-up.

Enjoyed the last panel's cliff-hanger.

Iron Fist - Classic 70's hero vs. hero issue but having early John Byrne art and early Chris Claremont writing is kinda cool. There is most certainly a fill in artist in this issue however, who receives no credit. I wonder who it was, but it sure as hell isn't Byrne. The issue was not on my current reading order, issue #2 was, but I decided to go back on my own to read it, but it is a continuation of a Marvel Premier story so I can see why it came earlier in the order than #2. They recapped pretty well, but still odd to start a new title with the end of a story from a different title. Odd for me, not so for Marvel at the time. Hahah. I will also say one of the biggest mistakes Stan Lee made during his tenor was noticing that Iron Man had no nose on his mask, and so he created the mandate that from now on he would have a nose. It looks horrible, but Byrne hides it as best he can, so it isn't too, too bad, though Gil Kane's cover doesn't look too darn bad with it in place ;)
Luckily Lee later agreed that it looked bad so allowed the mask to return to not having a nose.

Gay Titan

Absolute Power Task Force VII #5 & #6
Jonny Quest #2...with only a mere 19 variants.
Masters of the Universe: Revolution #4
Space Ghost #5
Ultimate Black Panther #8

Flipped through Nightwing Uncovered. Beautiful collection but looks better on their shelves.
I was kinda surprised that X-Force #1 got a second printing. The first two issues are good, but not THAT good.

TMNT (J.Aaron) #2

************************************************************************

TMNT - Really enjoying this series so far. Maybe it's nostalgia, maybe its the writing and art, but I suspect its all of those. I now eagerly await issue three featuring Leonardo (Drawn by Cliff Chang) and even more excited for issue four's Donatello's story (with Chris Burnham's art)

Green River - Not an action packed book, but I am very glad to have read this. A 'based on a true story' tale, about Seattle serial killer Gary Ridgeway and the cops who worked with him in an effort to try and find some of his missing victims. Written by the son of the lead detective on the case.

Phantom Road - Had only planned on reading the first volume, but when I saw that Walta art, I kept reading and knocked that out this morning, while waiting for lab work. The end left me wanting more, so I had to jump in on volume two and finished that when I got home and wouldn't you know it... it ended with a more impactful cliffhanger than the first volume did. Arrrhhhh. Now I have to wait for volume three? What the hell??

ABSOLUTE POWER: TASK FORCE VII #4 - Nightwing - A good story this time with Nightwing and Failsafe.  Not a must read for the event but a fun read nonetheless.

GREEN LANTERN 14 - Excellent tie in issue.  Ties into Absolute Power and still furthers the continuing arc.  This seems to remain the most consistently enjoyable book out by DC month to month.
