Brzrkr - Okay, had to reread this as I didn't know it was a 12 issue mini and I only read the first four issues, these four issues, and I needed a refresher before reading the remainder of the series. I do understand why I thought it was over after that fourth issue, and it is not because it ends with resolution, but because... it doesn't? If that makes sense? Probably not, haha. Anyway, this is certainly more of an action, blood and guts comic than its not ;D, but it is also pretty darn cool. Yes, it is similar in its initial approach as to what you would find in say Conan or Wolverine, I mean the title does say a lot after all, but it does separate itself from those two pretty handily. And while I can appreciate Keanu Reeves "writing", I think the heavier lifting came from Matt Kindt ;) , but that art... oh yeah... Garney killed it.

Savage Sword - Well... okay... this is a huge issue. Page count may not be different than the others, but it sure feels like it is. This is the start, so they tell us, of the Battle of Black Stone story arc that is hitting Conan. Is it a necessary read? No, you pretty much get most of the lead-in or precursor to the story in the main Conan the Barbarian book (This has been going on for awhile), but if this this book is an indication of who all is involved in the continuance of said story, you may want to read this. Maybe. Hey, there is nothing spectacular here, so waste a borrow ;) but it has some good introductions for those not familiar with more of Robert E. Howard's other stuff. It has the usual Conan story (drawn by an artist that has a similar style as Paul Pelletier) and Solomon Kane story (with cool lettering that I noticed), but this also has short stories featuring: Archeologist Conrad and Kirowan (horrible art here. Yuk), Agnes De Chastillon (or Dark Agnes as she is known), and two more stories featuring characters I have never heard of... Francis Gordon and El Borak. The latter being written by Ron Marz with art by the wonderful Mike Perkins. Oh, there is also a short story by new creation Brissa (I think she is new at least, I don't remember her). The Pict that has been giving Conan... help  ;D
Holy crap, I type a long time. SORRY
:o

Avengers Twilight - Meh, it was fine. Best thing about this issue was
Spoiler
the bald Hulk, looked really cool. I mean really, really destructively cool. Not sure how I feel about how they handled killing the Hulk though, would that work? I guess? Maybe? Or would Banner just keep drowning, due to the Green Door stuff?  ;)
[close]

Ult. Spidey - This was a much better issue, but after last issue's snore fest, that wasn't hard to accomplish.  ;D One thing though,
Spoiler
so far Peter hasn't had that "loss", he hasn't had that moment of being forged into Spider-Man. Will that happen?
[close]

Defenders - I semi-recently read the few issues of Thor that I was suppose to read before these issues (Defenders 26-29), but man, this is also very familiar. And by that I mean not in the "I remember this as a kid" familiar, but the "I may have read this is the past year" kind of familiarity.  ;D Damn memory. Either way, some cool, and amusing stuff here with the OG Guardians of the Galaxy and some Steve Gerber "Climate Change" warnings as well, that the MU, at least in this timeline, didn't head warning to. Haha. Some crazy magic by Dr. Strange had me rolling my eyes, as he casts spells that are well beyond what he should be able to do, but hey, it was the 70's. Hahaha

Avengers Twilight 6 - Good ending to this mini series.  I liked the twist, enjoyed the outcome.

Ultimate Sider-Man 5 - Nice issue.  Focus on Harry and what's happened to him to get to the current point in time. I liked it.

Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes (1977-) 257 - Ouch. That backup story was bad despite the return of Bouncing Boy & Duo Damsel.  The main story had its moments good and bad.  I enjoyed the Espionage Legionaries story but not the amusement park arc.  Moving on....

Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes (1977-) 258 - time to see if this was as bad as I thought it was when I was a kid.  Maybe not as bad but still not too fun.  Too bad as this was the last issue with the "Superboy" title.  Next issue his name is dropped and this title officially becomes just Legion of Super-Heroes.

Absolute Power 2 - love the break neck speed! Love me Waid & Mora!
Blue Beetle 11 - cancelled now, given an issue of send off! I've loved this character so much in the past; what did Giffen do that others haven't been able to?
Batman 151 - an...eh tie in, to be honest

Gay Titan

Blue Beetle cancelled? Didn't know that. I read it randomly and wasn't a fan of the supporting cast (except for Starfire).

3W3M Sourcebook Vol 2 - 1/2 way done

———————————————————————————————

3W3M Sourcebook Vol 2 - I only read the comic stories in this mighty tome and they were fun.  The maps and source material is grand in scale and one could spend a lot of time reading through them.  Hickman is building a huge universe here to house possibly decades of stories. The comics are glimpses into the different pockets of these worlds.  I really enjoyed this book.

Absolute Power 2 - Excellent issue. This core book has been good. Honestly they don't need the tie ins.  They should stick to just the main events and I think they'd do better.  A lot of big things happen here with a ton of action.

Batman 151 - I hate that the tie-in to Absolute Power has derailed this book a bit. But, if you ignore that it makes no sense for Batman to be here considering what's going on in the main book, it's pretty fun having Bizarro and Black Alice as adversaries!

Thing on the Doorstep Part One 1 - an interesting horror story and I'm curious as to where it's going.  Might have to wait and see if this collects in trade though rather than picking it up issue by issue.

Absolute - I like this, Mora is amazing and Waid is doing Waid things. The ending has me both hopeful and a little trepidatious at the same time
;D

Batman - This was fine, art kind of bugged me, as did not quite getting how Bat is here doing this, at this time, but I still enjoyed the issue well enough. I did not, however, read the back-up story. I just don't care.

Hello Darkness - Nothing spectacular in this anthology book, so I am not going to spend borrow credits on the singles. I will let everyone know that there is a Garth Ennis story starting in here, but there is also, what I believe to be, a Someone is Killing the Children story beginning (Looks like Erika Slaughter and I am pretty sure it is the same artist). Not sure if either story is new, or just being reproduced here, but something to keep in mind if the trade hits down the line.

Houses of the Unholy TPB - Brubaker & Phillips - I love Brubaker books. Even though the subject matter of this one makes me uncomfortable I still enjoyed it.  The ending left me unsatisfied.   The reader is left to interpret it however they want and that is ok but I would have liked something more concrete. Still, it's a good read and I'm left wanting more.

Yeah man, I concur. I wanted just a little bit more guidance on what direction I could take the ending
