Hoping this super small week allows me to get totally caught up on my Hoopla this week. Knowing I will probably add to that list in a couple of days

Marvel Unlimited
Ultimates #7
Fantastic Four #188

DC Universe Ultra
Green Lantern Corps #1
Legion of Super-Heroes #293

Hoopla
 Savage Sword of Conan #7
The Stringbags OGN
TMNT #7
Helen of Wyndhorn (collects issues 1-6)

***************************************

Ultimates - Good issue, mostly as it made me really like two characters (She-Hulk and Hawkeye) that I had little to zero interest in before this issue. Don't get me wrong, there was nothing done that made me like them, but they just hit for me here. Also liked the ending
 :)

ULTIMATES #7 - Just an ok issue. I kind of wish this would move faster.

WOLVERINE #4 - New arc but I'm not sure I'm feeling it for this title.  I'll give it one more issue to pull me in.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4 - Donetello.  Another good issue.  This one was especially good.  Time for some ninja power!

UNCANNY X-MEN #7 - lots of battle. Me likey.  But I'm not buying that the two X-Teams would be fighting each other here.  Still was a fun read and I like the cliff hanger.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 5- Brutal issue focusing on the new DA going after the turtles.  Rough origin.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 6 - Together at last! And in a big mess! Great issue bringing all the tension to a build up.

So I read....

MARVEL
Ultimates 7 - still building slow, but interesting
Uncanny X-men 7 - half an issue recap of the prior issue; c'mon let's go!!

hoopla
TMNT 7 - so cool; love the coloring and look of the book here
TMNT vol 1 (2010) -back to where it all (re)started! Kevin Eastman, original creator, back with others to restart and make a continuity, and a new concentrated direction -that lead to 150 issues over the next 14 years!
Black Hammer The End -And I've finished it! Thanks for all that leading to this! But I am done! Thank you Lemire!
Halo & Hornsby 2 - a bigger punch to what the big story could/should be. This could be interesting

I am going to echo Jimmy. I have been reading B&R since 15 or 16 and it's a consistently good read.

GREEN LANTERN CORPS #1 - Decent start for a first issue.  I'll give this a first arc look for sure.

Legion of Super-Heroes #293 - the big reveal!  The Great Darkness saga reveals the identity of the villain and sets things up for the final battle next issue.  Giffens art stands up to the test of time as well as does this, the most epic Legion story of all time. That's right it's still awesome.

AND

Barbaric Vol 1 - this is fun stuff! Ready to go for volume 2 ! Curses! Undead! Talking Axe that wants blood, but only of the evil!

DC
GL Corps 1 -yes, the Corps returns! Another GL book! And I really dug it!
Aquaman 2 -Visiting history to the character, setting a new far out stage. Art doesn't win the book for me, but the background and design of nature was awesome!
Action 1083 - art poor, Ridley story good, if not very quick considering its only 3 parters
Batman  & Robin 18 -I'm gonna keep recommending this book, since issue 14!!! -still so cool! Really like this A LOT, and a helluva ending!! If you guys want a more defined Damian story, this is the place for it!!!

Must...resist...Legion 296 !!! :D

Added more, because I just wasn't close enough to not finishing before
::)

Marvel Unlimited
Ultimates #7
Fantastic Four #188

DC Universe Ultra
Green Lantern Corps #1
Legion of Super-Heroes #293
Hellblazer #49 <- Added (as I forgot to at the start of the week)
Batman and Robin #14 <- Added (as Jimbo is yellin' at me to do so  ;))

Hoopla
Savage Sword of Conan #7
The Stringbags OGN
TMNT #7
Helen of Wyndhorn (collects issues 1-6)
Geiger #11 <- Added (not on Hoopla, so will be hitting the site online)
Geiger #12 <- Added
Redcoat #10 <- Added

***************************************

Savage Sword - A spectacular return for Roy Thomas with writing his ole buddy Conan. Everything happens as expected, haha, it is Conan after all, but really enjoyed this. The black and white De la Torre art is also a winner. This is the first issue to truly bring back the feel of my time first reading the original Savage Sword, back in Jr High-School. And that back-up story? Ha, another awesome addition. I don't recall reading about this character here in the back-up story, a Breckenridge Elkins, but damn if Patrick Zircher didn't deliver with this story. And the art here? Also so damn good. Going to have to keep my eye out for more from this one!!

Batman and Robin - This was good, didn't blow me away, but dialog was tight and Damian was Damian and I do like that. I also understand that this is, in essence, a number one for me, so being blown away already was a steep hurdle. I am sure I will like it more as it builds on the solid start. I will add that the art was a little frustrating at times (the appearance of Damien's age kept changing, that bothered me a little), but it was also very serviceable and almost has a cool painted style when viewing in panel mode. Not brush stroke'y, but more watercolor'y  :)  As Batman is always a favorite and I liked the antagonist, or what we see at least, yeah, I will give #15 a shot to further pull me in. Thanks Jimmy/Rodney

Hellblazer - Another talky issue, but it kind of sold itself as a Christmas issue, because it was a Christmas issue I guess... haha... so I can forgive it for that. It was jovial, something that I am not used to with Constantine.

Legion - Another good issue. I wonder... does DC/Levitz/Giffen ever touch on what occurred here with Daxam. It could literally happen in the next issue or never. I truly can't remember.

GL Corps - I liked this a ton, but primarily for the art. Very detailed, very full and very well done. Still not liking the two young Lantern peeps. Those being both the younger, real Lantern and the fake, "created" one that is a sister to Jon. Although I guess she isn't really a "Lantern". I have also, already thinking that there are enough (too many) Human Lanterns, never really connected to the last three Lantern members (Simon, Jessica and Jo), but I have a feeling I can get used to them well enough... although I truly hope Jo, whom I know very little of, has a very different personality than the others.

Savage Sword of Conan #7
The Stringbags OGN
TMNT #7
Helen of Wyndhorn (collects issues 1-6)
Geiger #11
Geiger #12
Redcoat #10

***************************************

Redcoat - Somewhat similar to last months Appleseed issue, but this was much more fun. Really looking forward to next month, after seeing the end of this issue though.  8)

Geiger - This is just such a paint-by-numbers book, but it also so good that I don't care. Lots of full page spreads and a few double splash pages that also work give extra time to the artist, which is a neat trick to try and help him stay on time. It is almost too many, but it's also cool to have such a fast read after Redcoat, which has been a little more text heavy. Not that I mind either  ;)

Turtles - Honestly, I remember seeing the preview pages of this new, ongoing artist and thinking he looks very much inline with what Eastman and Laird brought early on. but then got a little nervous on the first page, as it look more Joe Madureira in its first glance (which is fine, but not what I want right now in this early going), but it settled into the style and look that I remembered from the preview pages right after that, so that was nice. Good issue. I will say that with each issue, I am loving the "new" Splinter more and more.  ;D

F.F - So yes, I blasted through three issues of the Fantastic Four today, but honestly, the latter two issues don't truly count. Working backwards, as I do when I list these thoughts usually, issue #190 was what they called a "yearbook" issue. And in it, Ben saddened by what happened in issue #188 (I'll get there), sits down and talks with Alicia about the times when they first fought Dr. Doom, when Johnny found Namor, when the battled the Mad Thinkers android, when Reed shut down young Franklin's mind because he was getting too strong, and other tales of the past. It's essentially a broad recap issue of past exploits. Issue #189 on the other hand was a direct reprint of another Mad Thinker story, when Johnny fought the original Torch back in FF Annual #4. And hey, while it is always nice seeing Kirby art, I was disappointed seeing yet another reprint issue so close after just having one back around #181 or so. Marvel had to put issues out on time back then, so reprints happened quite a bit, and they usually did so without any indication on the cover that told us poor young allowance spending lads ahead of time, and I hated when they did back in the day (Hey, is that a Legion character? Allowance Spending Lad?). Now issue #188 was great. Amazing art by Perez, with one very small caveat regarding some flying debris, heehee, and a decent end to the Molecule Man story, where Reed, his body taken over by said Molecule Man, fights with all his might to stop the maniac, and eventually does, while in the air, causing the Molecule Man's power rod, which now contains his essence once more, to drop into a factory's smoke stack to be melted away. Oh yeah... suuuuure... heehee. Of course the end of the issue has Reed, who has been powerless for a few months now, walk away from the Four, taking Sue with him. Now it's just Ben and Johnny!  :)

Oh, and one of my favorite images came from this issue. Something about it that has made it remain in my head for years. I have always remembered it. No idea why, nothing overly spectacular, but maybe because of my ten year old mind was into those larger threats at the time? Haha

Black Lightning #2-5... I think if I had read this one month at a time, I would have dropped it. But I read it in one sitting and enjoyed the story. The art was iffy at times. I am curious about the new MoD (not as good as the original) and love the tie-in to Joshua Power & his Power Company.

JSA #5... Meh. Moved the story along and we get the debut of

a new Kid Eternity
