Just moving everything over here that I read last week (and have yet to comment on), just to make it easier... for me
;)
Lost that Stringbags OGN, it was returned before I finished it, ha, so... Looks like I will have to add that to my list once again, down the line.

Marvel Unlimited
Immortal Thor #18
Namor #5
Incredible Hulk #212

DC Universe Ultra
Batman and Robin: Year One #5
Worlds Finest #36
New Gods #3
Zatanna #1
Jenny Sparks #7
Batman and Robin #15
Hellblazer #50
Legion of Super-Heroes #294
Absolute Wonder Woman #5
Batman: Last Halloween #5
Black Canary #4
Green Arrow #21
Green Lantern #20
JL: Unlimited #4
Superman #23
Legion of Super-Heroes #295

Hoopla
Assorted Crisis Events #1
The Stringbags OGN
Helen of Wyndhorn (collects issues 1-6)
Conan #19
Fishflies (collects issues 1-7)

***************************************

Helen of Wyndhorn - A decent enough story, but very much in the same vein (IE maybe far too similar to) a Warlord of Mars story, mixed with some Robert E Howard. Enjoyable, but not going to blow your doors off.

Legion - Lots of cool memories hit the old noggin as I was reading this. A very enjoyable end to this arc.

Jenny Sparks - Well written, but far too long for what we got.

New Gods - Absolutely loved this one. The start of issue one had me scratching my head, but I luckily fell right into this one. Loved this history lesson

B&R Year One - I hate to say this, as it sounds like a throw away line, one that doesn't express how good this is, but... just very sound comic storytelling. Moves you with words and style.

Namor - I think I am done. I think I thought this was over last issue, hahaha, read this and, it's fine, it's good, but I don't think I need to read it. Dropping for apathy more than anger or disappointment

Thor - This is also... fine. Not a super fan of the art, but yeah, its serviceable I guess, but it doesn't pull me into the story like a well done comic can do. I have to push my way into the panels, I don't get drawn into them (no pun intended). But its okay. Story may actually be weaker than the art however. Meh

Is the Black Canary fight fest any good?

Yeah, a little stretched out, for sure, but I am enjoying it. "It" being the story away from the match, not the match itself.
;D

I've liked the Black Canary book a lot too!

I've read...

Marvel

Deadpool 9 - still odd that his daughter is in on all these mercenary contracts, but maybe she inherited his insanity too. I dig the book

Uncanny X-men 8 - decent artist on to end the story. The ongoing 'Avians' mutants is going to be a mystery that I am actually curious about! Scurvy needs a bit more story though....
Immortal Thor 18 - I'd agree with Perry that the story right now, in this moment, with trying to prove Thor's innocence was...odd, and well, weak, but I'm still into the turns the story takes, particularly when family comes back to town!

Legion - Without giving too much away, I like the way Block is drawn here, best he's looked so far, and I did enjoy the older look of the flashback, but the story is... somewhat weak, but coming off the the last few issues, I would expect that. The Green Lantern-Earth thing is somewhat ridiculous, but hey, comics!

Hellblazer - John is called to meet the king of vampires, who wants john to work for him. Work as a spy, letting the king know when all the other magic users in the DCU are attempting spells and things to battle or confront the vampires. John essentially tells him to pound sand, but now our Mr Constantine not only has three lords of hell out to get him, he now has the king of vampires vying for revenge as well. Typical day.

Bat and Robin - This was good, but I have to question Damien crying out for help instead of just giving CPR to the girl. Seemed a little... helpless... and I've never thought of him in that way.

Zatanna - Written and drawn by Jamal Campbell, with a little less "style" than he presented in his Superman run, this starts off pretty typical for Zatanna. Getting ready for a set and then a ghost starts screwing with her crew and that is when Zatanna has to step in, but... yeah... that didn't work out too well for her.

I agree with Perry and Jimmy.  It drags a little but I'm enjoying the story in the flashbacks more than the fight itself.

Conan - Love seeing a character from Conan's past (and mine) show up at the end here. Odd timing actually, considering what this story is about, but a damn fine welcome!! And Doug Brathwaite returns to art, and while he isn't as "fun" for me as Robert De La Torre (and his aping style of the great John Buscema that I love so much), he is a more than nice change from the art the last couple of issues. Brrrr

Crisis Events - This was a cool first issue. The only reason I tried this was for Deniz Camp's writing, which I have enjoyed on Ult F.F. but damn if the art didn't keep me pulled in. Gonna have to remember the name of this artist (once I see the name again, hahaha)

Black Canary - A good issue, truly, I did enjoy this, but I can also tell we are over padding this particular piece of furniture, even though most all of this issue seemed pretty tight. Loved the relationship stuff here. Glad the wife didn't see me type that, she would have me watch some Bridgette Jones Diary type shit

Absolute WW - Best book of the three (currently on DCU  ;)) Just can't say enough about this book, so I will stop and say nothing. Other than I am sorry for anyone not reading this title!!

DC

Absolute Wonder Woman 5 -AMAZING!! Such a testament to the character, happening here!!
Black Canary 4 -a cool background issue of meeting and knowing Ollie. Keep it moving, Tom!
Green Lantern 20 -interesting on the history of the Blacksmith. Poor guy. Also, Kon is a bit more of a dick, and Kyle was a bit more sheepish, all in front of a woman. But, super pumped about the next stuff!
Green arrow 21 -liking the writing, and the moving action of the art here. Very good, very solid read
Superman 23 -right now, Williamson and Mora are FIRE on this title; I love it!

NAMOR #5 - I really enjoyed this issue.  The build up to the final battle of this war of kings.  Next issue promises a big turning point.

Uncanny X-Men 8 - Well bummer. No big reveal. Fortunately  Simone did a good job writing this story so I enjoyed the issue.  Not happy with

ABSOLUTE WONDER WOMAN #5 - Awesome book!  Good ending to the first arc!  So funny that this was my least favorite title when the Absolute books came out with issue 1 but has been consistently my favorite ever since. No change here - still my favorite.

BLACK CANARY: BEST OF THE BEST #4 (OF 6) - the fight was much better this issue but true fun in this book are in the flashbacks. Excellent progression with the story and I'm ready for round five!

GREEN ARROW #21 - Meh, this is starting to get to preachy and the story suffers. I expect better from Chris Condon and will hold him to that standard.  Let's see if he can get back on track next issue.

I think I missed part 1 to this arc. Why is Ollie wearing a mask again? Hiding his "secret" identity? I think #23 is the sixth and final part. Maybe the next story is better.

Absolute Martian Manhunter #1... definitely odd but fun to read. Visually, it's vivid and I think the art compliments the story.

JUSTICE LEAGUE: UNLIMITED #4 - Really not enjoying this title at all.  I'll stick around for the villain reveal next issue but unless it's amazing I doubt I'll be around much longer.

Legion of Super-Heroes #295 - Nice respite after the big Darkness Saga.  Enjoyed the little Easter egg regarding Universo.

Yay! I felt the same way once I was 3 issues in to this arc, to read a better realized 'person' in Damian, in these issues. I'm glad my rec proved to work well!!

JLU - Yawn. Only thing keeping me halfway in this is the art

G. Lantern - A decent "Indy" story  ;) but... no... nevermind... this was fine

G. Arrow - I think I am done here, but will give it one more issue to keep me

Last Halloween - Story is just okay, it was better the first time around (Long Halloween), but man the art by Sienkiewitz in this issue... yeah, 8) as hell

Moths Vol 1 - Rather disappointing.  I'm not a fan of "photo" art to begin with but add in a pretty boring character story and what could have been great falls flat. The not thing interesting was the last few pages epilogue which hints at a much more important future.
