I know we don't generally discuss our personal stuff unless it's a crisis. I thought I would share a bit of good news... Shawn and I bought a farm.
We are both from neighboring small, rural communities and met on a fluke during the pandemic. Marrying him was the highlight of my mature years. LOVE that man!
We are moving to a small farm near both our respective families and starting a dog boarding business. It's a good fit and fills a community need. We have five spoiled dogs, six barns, a lot of acreage, and it just makes sense.
When I was in my teens, I went to a hole in the wall comic shop. It's still there but bigger. Need to transfer my pull. I am gaining an office (aka comic den) to display my favorite issues and remaining action figures.
Once we get settle, I will send Perry and Jeff my new address.
That's awesome!!!
I hope in the next decade I get to my favorite, 'this is my PLACE!' next and last favorite move!
This sounds amazing Rodney! I'm completely jealous. My wife and I often think about a more rural move. And life boarding dogs sounds wonderful.
Congrats and best of luck, Rodney. That sounds awesome.
A part of me misses that kind of living (coming from the mountain area of western Virginia... NOT WEST Virginia mind you ;)), but I just can't go back to not being able to walk to the store for milk if I need to, so I have to remain a "city mouse" ;)
But yes, that kind of living does have some major advantages.
Hope it gives you guys everything you could ever want!!
