Cyborg (2015) #3, 6
Iron Man #598
I am going to read the first issue of Nice House by the Sea, but I am pretty sure it will be just that issue... I think... as I am wanting to read it all in one shot once it is done. I enjoyed reading the first run (by the Lake) much better that way as it was easier for me to not only remember and follow the craziness, haha, but also helped me distinguish between the characters better. But I heard the first issue has a cool ending, and as I didn't get spoiled by it, I want to check it out.
:)
Also wondering if the John's books will still be on Hoopla, as we didn't get Geiger last week when it hit the stands. Hoping it was just a mix-up.

Doom - I don't think Jeff will enjoy the art, but with the way I've been assuming lately, that means he will probably love it :D I enjoyed it, but I like Sanford Green's stuff. That sad, while there is stuff I enjoyed here.... this was not the kind of Doom story I was expecting. Not much of a Doom voice here for me. Also, while I appreciate how they ended this issue, I did leave me feeling a little let down :-\
Ultimates - Speaking of feeling let down... this. Now these two issue were not terrible, but they weren't great either. I probably over-hyped this in my head, and feeling a little let down about something is what can happen, and most times does, when you do that. I'm not going to stop reading this, yet, but man was I hoping for more. I have heard it takes a couple issues to find its feet, I can see that happening, so yeah, I'll give it another issue or two to do so. If it is still... like this... after issue #4, I will have to reconsider.
Yeah, I think we all over-hyped the Ultimates. It's a good book and solid read but not nearly as stellar as I was expecting. I think they're slowly building to a big clash with Reed the Maker. But it is definitely slow.
I read ....
Doom One shot -bleh. I've read somewhere may it only have been plotted w/Hickman but written by Sanford. I would have been hella pissed to pay actual money for this. Just pass.
Ultimates 1 & 2 -oh, this burn is gonna be slow. and building. Very slow, especially if Rodney knows 3 months ahead of us! But I dug the double meaning of the "Save...." line from issue 2. I'll read another couple issues.

What? I didn't hear about that. Where was this? I know the inside credit says the story was co-plotted between them, but Hickman is credited as writer. Just curious because if that is not the case.... whoa!!!

It was through a rumor mill, so maybe don't trust that bit of info entirely.
I read
hoopla
Conan the Barbarian 10 - de la Torre is so GREAT on this title. Glad to be reading some sword & sorcery comics!
Redcoat 1 - gonna be fun to have weird 'National Treasure' type secrets from our Founding Fathers
Geiger 1 - I've liked this character since first blush. Glad to see the world expanding
Rook 1 - I think I like this best! So very very intrigued!
Of course, I will read Ghost Machine 1 next month, but oh well, briefly out of order. I'll be okay!
Something is killing the Children Vol 7 -definitely some heartbreak. But what will happen next?
DC Ultra
From the way way back machine
Adventure Comics 349, 352-353 - the beginning of Jim Shooter's teenage run! And it's cool! Yeah, it's late 60s writing, but the excitement of the Fatal Five origin, the team up with them against the Sun Eater, and the fabled Adult Legion and hall of death n 354 that is mentioned for DECADES is all in these moments! Too cool!
-there are only 6 more Legion comics in the Adventure series run before it switches all over to Supergirl, and I'm gonna read 'em all!
DC ULTRA
Flash 11 -oh Jeff, if you were still reading you wouldn't like this issue! LOL
Green Arrow 14 - a tie in to Absolute Power, but more a tie in to Oliver's family. I like it
Detective Comics 1087 -we're coming to the end...I'm still riding along to it...
Absolute Power Origins 1 - I'll read a little bit about Amanda Waller!
Adventure Comics 354 (Adult Legion!) , 357 (Ghost of Ferro lad!), 360,368-370, 374 -that's all they have of Legion before it joins up with the Superboy title currently being read

Ultimates 1 & 2 - I liked this more than I thought I would. At first I was confusing this with Avengers Twilight and I really got confused with who was who. Once I finally realized what I had done and got my brain right, I started enjoying it. I liked issue 2 better than issue 1 so that's a good sign that it gets better as we progress.
Doom 1 - I liked it up until the end. More of a What If? type of story but interesting premise. The end wasn't satisfying and that kind of took away from my enjoyment but overall I found it fun.
The Nice House by the Sea 1 - Good start to this next chapter in this new world by Tynion. Definitely going to tie into The Nice House by the Lake series and so far I like these characters better. But it's early.....

Yeah not the greatest art but I was able to tolerate most of it. Probably helped that it wasn't an on continuity story.

Spoiler
The Arc Angles have decided that the imperfections that bother reality is Time itself. So, if they destroy time, then all of reality will just exist, and be perfect from their reality layer.
They tried to get Barry to be the one, but he wasn't right. Wally is, because Wally believes he can always help and fix anything. But first, they had to hollow out Wally; get rid of his humanity, his ties, his personal attachments. They helped break down everything in life around him to make him susceptile to their need.
and so, they sent him off against... time itself, which has been posited to be a living thing (like any entity like Destiny, Entropy from Marvel is). The other Flashes come to this conclusion as well, that Time is alive, and chose all of them as a conduit for aid, But as they siphon TIME from time for their speed force, Time then comes to feel things-their love, their hate, their wants, desires, and such. And wants to feel it more (why more Flashes).
Also, anyone connected to the Strength Force or Slow Force? It's all the same Force-just interacted differently by the user.
The arc Angles dont want Time to live, and Time wants to live, at it's base.
Also, that weird Time Cop? I was right, it's Baby Wade from the Future :D

Did you see all of the Star Wars ones they did? I mean I knew they did some, but had no idea there were THAT many of them
Now they are not close to looking like an actual "figure" as the one you posted, no, no, not close, but good lord, "that's a lotta meatball!"

Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes (1977-) 252 - felt like a filler issue between arcs. Not terrible but not great either.
Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes (1977-) 253 - First appearance of Blok! And I had forgotten how he was introduced. I think I remember how this plays out but will have to wait for next issues part 2 to be sure. Fun read.
One thing I wish the big two would do is go back to legacy numbering. Put all these smaller series into a larger sequence and make it reader friendly.
And while we're on the (side) topic, I miss when the Superman titles had little numbered triangles.

LoSH - I enjoyed seeing the ole' Legion of Subs kick-ass and they offered a great resolution to the conflict, but jeezbus, how Superboy "saved" everyone was absolutely ridiculous. And NOT in the "that is so ridiculous it's freakin cool" 70's style that I enjoy. Still, totally worth it to see those Subs do their thing!!
"GALAXY!" :)
House by the Sea - I may read this monthly as I think this may be a little easier on my brain, having got "the gist" of what is going on in the last series. Well, when I say I got the gist of what is going on, everything is still a mystery, but I see the game a little better.
Zatanna - I love this art. Story seems a little too stretched out, but it isn't terrible. Zatanna is refusing to "do magic" because of a couple traumatic events, that she may have caused, back when she was little. I like the idea and how they are working the story and having a fine enough time to keep going. But it could be shit and I would still try and read it... I am a sucker for Zatanna, regardless and this being a Black Label story is also a bonus
Batman Dark Age - Ha, wow, that Riddler outfit is... something else. ;D ;D As was the first Robin style, the feathered look was crazy. Again, Black Label goodness. My favorite part occurred early in the issue though, when good ole Alfred yells - "HELL'S BEEF!" ;D ;D
- Sidenote - That's three BL books in a row for DC. Heck, I just noticed that Black Label books are all I read from DC (on the new side) this week :)
2-in-1 - Ugh... Art was fine, story wasn't horrible (not enjoyable either though), but my main issue was the way Mantlo was making Ben "funny". I mean, hey, normally that would be perfectly fine, but here his humor came off as being very dickish, and THAT isn't Ben Grimm. Unless he is dealing with Johnny
;D

Indeed. I only stopped because... well... at the time I wanted a little more tie-in with the stories. I do know it happens off and on through the run, but yeah, just wasn't hitting for me right now. I shall return though, at one point. Maybe when my Marvel Read Order reaches the same point as the triangles.
I am trying to get said Marvel Reading Order up to date with our Legion read through, but it is going to take some time. Reading one LoSH title is a lot faster than reading... 20 or so other titles.
;D
