How is the House of Brainiac saga? I know it introduces the Queen prior to this summer's Absolute Power. Is the actual story/arc any good?

Fear Agent Vol 2 - (Collects issues 17-32) - Decent finish to a crazy wacked out story. VERY REMINISCENT of Black Science ended.  Not necessarily in the details but in the epic tone.

How is the House of Brainiac saga? I know it introduces the Queen prior to this summer's Absolute Power. Is the actual story/arc any good?

House of Brainiac Event

Superman 13 - pretty good part two.

Powergirl 8 - mildly interesting tie in but not needed for the main story.

Superman: House of Brainiac Special 1 - first story was boring and had nothing to do with the Brainiac story. The backup had more to do with the Brainiac story and had a revel for long term readers. I had actually forgot all about that council.

So far I'm liking it - the real parts of the story - and I'm interested in seeing what happens.

Incredible Hulk 9 - I keep saying I'm not a fan of horror books and yet I keep loving books like this.  The new villain is creepy as heck and yet really intriguing.  I liked it.

Wolverine 43 - Oh man there is something in this book that both horrified me and made me happy of what it might mean. Sabertooth centric story with a catchup with the Exiles from the most recent book.  Not bad.

X-Force 49 - Liked the Beast & Wonder Man reunion.  These two characters need some serious fixing to bring them back to the fun days of old.  Anxious to see how this all ends.

Batman: Off-World 4 - this book is awesome! A great issue for the series. I'm loving the new bounty hunter.

The Penguin 9 - I never know where each issue is going to go and they never fail to impress me.  Another good issue of this great series.

Just going to post what I have read over the past two weeks... which admittedly, isn't much at all... and then come back (famous last words for me) with a different post for the things I want to read or the things I still have on my list that I didn't get to as, yeah, there are probably lots of those. I haven't looked back on my list yet

Superman #13 - Enjoying this, but I am a huge fan of Brainiac so I may have some bias, but I don't think so 

Green Lantern #10 - Man, I know I read this, about a week ago, but... yeah, I need to get a refresher (been one hell of a couple of weeks)

Green Lantern: War Journal #8 - As soon as I listed this, I realized I haven't yet finished the back-up story... the one I wanted to read (I usually don't tend to read too many back-up stories) so maybe I should leave this one off. Haha

Wolverine #43 - Okay, so, no spoilers, but interesting computer thing happening here, yeah? I understand Jeff's concern

Hulk #8 - Man, the art makes this book and this art was, at first, not hitting for me. I then became more at ease with the style however so yeah, no art complaints after all. The story is fun, but feel it may be getting dragged out... drugged out... drug? Hell, you know what I mean 

Uncanny Valley #2 - This is going to be a fun little mini, taking a "real life" boy who finds his grandfather to be [Yosemite Sam]... yes, the cartoon, but not truly him due to copyright and all.   Now comes the [acme] wolf!!! Not a title for every one, but yeah, I like it.

Conan #11 - This is a Conan fan's dream. Going all the way back to early stories, without actually doing so   and bringing in all the greats from Conan's past... well, Hyboria's past at least, with Big Daddy John Buscema clone art? Just making my mouth water. Soooo damn good.

RedCoat #2 - Still enjoying this series, a lot, but I think, in an issue to issue comparison, that Geiger #2 was better than Redcoat #2. So while originally I liked Redcoat more, I would call them on even par as of now. Which is slightly more than I can say for...

Rook #2 - This is fine, it is. It has great art, an interesting premise, and I do enjoy it, but when compared to the other two Johns' books, this one is a little behind for me. But hey, Maybe issue three will push the other titles back?

Universal Monsters: Dracula (issues 1-4) - Not exactly like the book that shares its name, which was good, it still repeated or conveyed the general idea. Concentrating more on Renfield this time around was a cool thing, but I think it needed one more issue for Tynion to get done properly. While I enjoyed the art and can appreciate what happened here, I can't recommend this. I am hopeful for the next one in the series however; Creature from the Black Lagoon by Ram V

I hope you didn't read this before issue 10.  In my Hoopla issue 11 is also there but not issue 10 yet.

Jay Garrick: The Flash 6 - predictable but nice ending.  The series as a whole was fine except for the art. I just didn't care for that.  Would like to see more stories with Jay and the Boom just with a better artist.

The Flash 8 - nice little side jaunt with Barry Allen. Also clearly a setup tie in to Absolute Power. The regular Wally story picks up in the Annual.

The Flash 2024 Annual 1 - more reveals and attacks on the speedsters.  I hope they hurry up and wrap this up soon. Spurriers problem is he drags his ideas out way too long. There are so many mysteries but very little answers.  I can tell this could be epic when it all comes together but it's in danger of losing me as a reader because it feels like it never ends.  I had the same problem with his Legion book and never finished that. I still liked this issue, just ready for some payoff.

No, I read ten, but you're right, I don't see it on Hoopla.
Not sure how that is, I know I didn't read it at the LCS, I don't think... I am 99.999% sure... I didn't read it on that "site" (I haven't been there in months) so... I have no idea what is going on.
I read the summery for 9 (thinking maybe I got it confused with what I thought was #10) and yep, that is what happened before issue #10, and then in #10, we see... a few things I am not going to spoil, but yeah... some very cool characters and then we see the rest of that in this issue #11.
Man, I am lost.

I've never seen them do that, so not sure. I am still confused, but yes, I did read it.

(10 and 11 are my favorites of the series so far)

Green Arrow #12... Decent wrap-up to the current arc and a good stopping point for me. It's heading towards Absolute Power and I plan on reading just the core series.

Rise of the Powers of X #5... WOW!!! Strong finish and absolutely beautiful interior art!
