Thor - This was just a refresher read as I had already read this when it first hit a few months ago. I probably shouldn't have even counted it for this week's list

Bring on the Bad Guys - I knew going in that this was not going to be one of those mini's that had uber importance, but I was hoping for a little, ya know? True, there are things that COULD come out of this, but I highly doubt those will ever come forward into the light or even matter if they were revisited. I think the main problem, other than having Dormammu being so damn scared of Mephisto ::) , was I didn't care for the main semi-protagonist. I never once cared for her plight nor did I have any emotional feeling or connection to that plight being... resolved. Yeah, while I won't go as far as to say this was a waste of time, I will say there are about a billion other things on which I probably should've spent my time. But its Guggenheim. Yeah, should've known. He's not my favorite
:P

DEATH OF THE SILVER SURFER #3 (OF 5) - Fun with the Fantastic Four! Loved it!

IMPERIAL WAR: BLACK PANTHER #1 - the better of the two Imperial tie ins this week. Picks up right from Imperial #3 and brings the space battle to a close. Hickman involved in the writing helps.

IMPERIAL WAR: PLANET SHE-HULK #1 - total throw away issue with no relevance to the bigger story.

So just heard that Liam Sharp is doing the new Spawn Dark Ages comic, and as I just read his Conan... and loved the look... I am jumping on his Spawn. Sharp and Spawn? Oh, this art is going to be balls out!!!

Ult Spider-Man - mostly a talking heads issue, but an important one... for the characters, if not us readers  ;D

Imperial War She-Hulk - Bah, Hulk should've smashed this issue  ::)

Imperial War Black Panther - Okay, much better. Looking forward to the next one-shot!!

FF Fanfare - Only 3 stories in this outing, but the fist one made the issue. A great Sue/Mole Man issue by JMS and Cafu!!  8)

Death of Surfer - I really liked the blood concept. Thought that was kind of cool!!  ;)

Hmmm. I like JMS these days.  I'll have to read that story.

Doctor Strange #55 - the second I saw the art was Michael Golden and inked by Terry Austin I was giddy to read this! And it didn't disappoint. AT first I thought we were getting a Dr Strange version of Its a Wonderful Life but that was not to be. A much more sinister story there was to see!

PHOENIX #14 - hopefully next issue will wrap up this arc. It may be my last.

X-MEN #21 - X-Men vs Upstarts was the good part of this issue with some good character development. But NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO! I hate the Sugar Man and don't want him here!

ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #20 - Ha! Yeah that was good.  Next issue promises to be really good!

The First #5 - Interesting history lesson. This comic is good even though a little confusing. But I think it's starting to come together for me.

Sigil #10  - Finally this story is picking up! Pretty good issue.

Deviant Vol 2 (Collects issues 5-9) - super creepy but a good end to this horror/crime story. And just in time for Christmas.

Gay Titan

Small week for me.

Batman #4
Blue Falcon & Dynomutt #4
Thundercats Lost #9

The new Doctor Strange series looks interesting.

Doc Strange - Man, this story does hold up pretty well. While yes, the art does most of the heavy lifting (Golden's drawing of... the main antagonist... will forever be the one I think of when picturing that character), and though the writing is, of course, somewhat dated, this is still pretty strong. And a more hopeful read than I usually enjoy  ;D

Spawn Dark Ages - I used to love Spawn, well, I loved the idea of him (Todd McFarlane can draw all day long but his writing is weak as hell), but I really loved the less acclaimed Dark Age Spawn book back in the day. And here, with Liam Sharp writing... and more importantly, on art... this book brought back the nostalgic feels I wanted. Yep, adding this to this list each month  8)

Ice Cream Man - Not the best set of issues, but a good read still nonetheless. I am loving anthologies right now!!
41 - Cool "spy" issue set in Cuba. "Viva Rick'alution"  :)
42 - The Haunted Mansion issue. Some didn't seem to like this issue, and it only took me about 3 or 4 pages in before I realized why  ;D This was fine... for me... but I can see how this isn't for everyone  ;)
43 - Okay, this issue was... well, let me say that I, like Jeff, applaud the effort of this issue, I can see the idea, I just didn't care for the execution. Maybe if it was a little... less of what it was?  :-\
44 - Now we all know the best way to get ahead in the corporate world is to use all the tools available to you, develop team building skills and hit the cafeteria with a chainsaw  ;D

Legion - HEY!!! The best issue I have read from this title in some time. Very minimal "membership/leadership" talk and a story that seems to actually move our characters, or at least the team, forward makes this a winner.  :)

Hellblazer - Garth Ennis' last issue for a few is also mine... for a few. Decent wrap up and this arc was well written, if not a little too wordy (especially the issue prior). But yeah, a clean break  :)

Batman - Enjoyed this issue more than the first two, but the title is still missing the Fraction in Matt Fraction's writing. There is nothing, absolutley nothing, that is "bad" here, just not as... Fraction'y as his great runs on Thor and Iron Man. Not yet. Still time  ;)

Abso Supes - Yeah, the rubber is hitting the road now. Good issue as we are starting to see the "Super" in this Superman. And thankfully, Lois is still a badass here  8)

Legion of Super-Heroes #13 - I enjoyed this one.  Nice Timbor Wolf spotlight.  But it felt like there was so much going on in this one issue.  IT was great.

ABSOLUTE SUPERMAN #13  - art is amazing but I'm ready for this war to be over and move on to other arcs.

BATMAN #3 - ok I guess. I'm starting to get bored.

DC K.O. KNIGHTFIGHT #1 (OF 4) - this I liked! Good plot idea and fun battle.

DC K.O. Superman vs Captain Atom #1 h - not bad, not great. Kind of fun.
