Ultimate Black Panther 5 - good fight issue.  Moving a little slow but aren't they all these days?

X-Men: Heir of Apocalypse 2 - a fun tournament style issue with lots of battle.  I enjoyed it.

Roxxon Presents Thor 1 - Cute. A nice little parody as the comic Thor is reading in the main book. Ridiculous politics notwithstanding, of course. 😁

Whew, over two weeks worth of reads coming my way? I know I have read a few issues, but honestly, if I remember them all (even the small amount that it most assuredly was) I will be shocked. No way I am getting through this list this week as I am still getting over my travel crud but at least I'll have a record of what I need to get to.

Absolute Power 3 - Things are coming to a head.  Looking forward to the final issue.

Batman 152 - Ahhhh. I should have read this first since it ties into Absolute Power 3.  Now AP 3 makes more sense.

JUSTICE SOCIETY OF AMERICA 11 - Oh yeah - I loved this! I can see why Rodney thought this was the last issue. It wraps up this story arc.  I'm assuming the next issue wraps up the series.  Sad to see Johns leave these characters as he has such a great affinity for them - and for the Legion. 

Penguin 12 - That's it. The end. I liked it overall.  It brought the story back to the beginning and all was explained. The Help is one of my new favorite characters.

The Legion of Super-Heroes (1980) 266 - I liked seeing Bouncing Boy and Duo Damsel along with one of my favorite Legionaries, Element Lad. The villain though is pretty lame.  Let's see if he gets any better by next issue.

Immortal Thor 10 - Whoa! What a nice twist!  Enjoyed the battles in this issue.

Immortal Thor 11 - I had no ideas that Odin had so many children. Makes my brain dizzy keeping up with them all!

Immortal Thor 12 - Good end to an interesting story arc. These past three issues have been good.

Hyde Street - Honestly, I'm more disappointed in this than not. Didn't know what I was expecting, but it just didn't hit for me. Art was great, writing not so much. I am still going to stay on, for at least two more issues, but if I am ever close to running low on borrows, I know this is the title that will not make the cut. As of now anyway. Hoping it gets better.

Conan - No Spoilers, but this is a great addition to another fine Conan story from years gone. It is not quite a retelling, but it isn't far off either. Really cool. I remember reading its... original reimagining in this -



Legion - Certainly not the worst 3 issue run by Gerry Conway, but not the best of what could be either. Hoping the next issue I read has the return of the inker from 264 and 265 though, because the art in 266 looked rough. I will say that the antagonist Dagon had a god awful design and I am still weirded out about Tyrok's power set. Just don't remember any of that "extra" stuff and not at all sure how that works with what I know (or thought I knew) about his "power"


Iron Fist - It is cool seeing the Early stages of Byrne, some really good stuff considering. The Ravager baddie was interesting, but it goes nowhere. Damn, I could have sworn I posted about this book already, but I don't see it. Must be I just read it so long ago... maybe?

Mystic - I remember really enjoy this (and all four original Crossgen main titles) when I first got into this universe and while I do still enjoy this, mainly because of the different factions and "non-familiars"   , the art is somewhat more disappointing now. It isn't bad, but I think the colors are a little too bright for me now and it is throwing me off. I just need to get used it I think. Still hoping Marvel puts all the older Crossgen stuff up as I will read them all!!! Love this sigil universe and I wish we got more resolution on all this stuff.

The DC All In Special was pretty good. Love the inclusion of Booster Gold. It's a flip book and the Darkseid half was poorly drawn but I think it was supposed to reflect the tone of the story. Absolute Batman is due out and I will flip thru it to see if it's worth getting.

I really enjoyed the Absolute Power mini-series and LOVED the Task Force VII books. Definitely one of DC's better events. Dark Crisis was painful and sucked!
