Quote from: Jeff on Mar 20, 2026, 07:36 PMI'm thinking about giving Tom Kings Wonder Woman a second try.
If your reading it, what do you think?
Leftover question from last week.
OH BOY!!! Man, do I have a lot of catching up to do!!
It has been a crazy few weeks, but I think, for now, I am back on track... even though I foresee no way to get through this list this week, or possibly even the next :( HAHA, I will give it a solid go. Also, I may forget to add an issue that I do want to read or one that I have read, so please let me know if you see something I need to add... if you notice
8)
As for the ones I have read, I may not remember too much, so sadly (or luckily for you guys ;D ), my comments will be brief
Really brief right now, as I am just putting the list together... will be back to post the ones I have already read

Omega Kids #3 (of 3) - Good ending. One of the better tie-ins if not the best.
Radioactive Spider-Man #3 (of 3) - Didn't like how this played out. I don't believe Peter would have accepted that fate for Aunt May. He would have found another way.
X-Men: Book of Revelation #3 (of 3) - Excellent! My favorite issue of the story so far. This series was well done.

Daredevil & Punisher #2 (of 5) - Good issue. This is a bloody good time.
Planet She-Hulk #2 - Also good issue. Stephanie Phillips can write the heck out of the best marvel females and she does it again with She-Hulk.
WW - I flipped through an issue of the Mouse and thought WTF. I may get the Wonder War arc, but Absolute is a better read.

Nova - This is fine. I'm tired of "fine". I'm out
Abso Supes - This was my least favorite issue of this title, but it had some very cool art pages and I really like the look of this Hawkman.
Abso Batman - On the flipside... I hate the look of this Poison Ivy and from what her powers are now based. It's Poison "IVY", not Poison Ivy/Animal/Fungus/Bacteria. >:(
Abso WW Annual - Decent story for a fill-in artist to do. Nothing groundbreaking, but a nice issue to give Sherman a breather
Abso WW - Another "decent" issue, but it sorta feels like... I don't know... nevermind. Oh, and yes, I am a huge fan of Zatanna, I don't even mind reading her backwards spell dialog usually, but giving us what looked like a 2,000 word spell that we have to read backwards... wasn't a fun experience. >:(
Abso Manhunter - Best of the Abso stuff this month. Hands down. Of course I say that not being a reader of either Abso GL or Abso Flash, but yeah. Easily, for me, the best this time around. Not only do we have the White Martian still, we have Despero now causing turmoil.
DC K.O Boss Battle - HAHA, yes!! Samantha Strong!!! Our "lovable" bear from Beneath the Trees? Sweet!! ;D
Legion - Just putting all the issues here as they all hit about the same for me. And while I started this post off by saying that I am tired of reading comics that are just fine, I am still here for this, even though... yeah... these were fine
Assorted Crisis Events - Another BANGER of an issue. This time telling the semi-bio of Wally Wood. Very, very, well done!!
Escape - I am sucker for WWII stuff. I am a sucker for dogs. I am a sucker for this title!!!
Skinbreaker - This is pretty damn tight. Tribal, but really good
Sacrificers - Oh the proverbial road paved with good intentions, huh? Oh what Soluna, Pidgeon and company have brought forth...
Geiger - Finally. For the first time in... since the book started... I am starting to get a sense of forward movement. Yeppers, these two were good!!

ABSOLUTE WONDER WOMAN #17 - That was a fun battle with Giganta. I have no idea who the new villain at the end is supposed to be.
FLASH #30 (DC K.O.) - Good ending to the Flash & Impulses battle with Darkseid and the Dark Legion. All taking place at the point in Crisis on Infinite Earths where Barry Allen must sacrifice himself. Unless......
SUPERMAN #35 (DC K.O.) - Decent ending to the battle with the Dark Legion. But man, Perry's gonna be moaning that this character is here to stay!
GREEN LANTERN #32 - Basically an interlude setting things up for next issue. Next issue is also the 600th issue of Green Lantern. Gonna be a doozy I think.

DC COMICS
Abso WW 17 - This fight this issue really hit for me. I really enjoyed this one
Detective 1106 - Tom Taylor has been telling Batman stories that just hit RIGHT for me. Been enjoying this volume for so LONG. Been great reading to this guy.
JL Unlimited 16 - a bit weaker of the KO tie-ins, especially considering it was Mora drawing with Waid writing. Too bad.
GL 32 - really liked this one. Best handling of Hal and Carol's relationship in a long time without just relying on the bumbling dumb Hal trope. Really enjoyed this and its a random Mantos art sighting on art!
Superman 35 - A great KO tie in! Eddy Barrows on art, Williamson on art, really dug this with Lois, Prime (heh heh yes Prime!) and most of the core Dark Legion involved. Looking forward to what's coming next too!
Flash 30 -mostly feel good vibes here for the Flashing history and the importance of the people involved, but I'm ready for the next big team ahead

Geiger #20 - Yes! The Northerner shows up immediately after his appearance in Redcoat. Things are coming together.
Geiger #21 - I liked this issue and how this is moving. And especially how characters run across each other from other books and stories.

Spoiler
Why would Darkseid kidnap the baby, turn him into Validus, and just give him back?
No sense at all.
Crux #7 - A bit of an interlude that leads to our next arc and perhaps some answers to what has happened to the human race. Good issue.
Crux #8 - Start of the new arc and a good mystery! Loving this book.
Ruse #1 - Good start to something more mysterious than just the day to day crimes our Sherlock Holmes like character solves. I suspect some interference from the First or the ones behind the Sigil.

WONDER WOMAN 14 - Yes. The absolute best issue to start on. Explains everything one needs to know and kicks it all off (with a death). Now I'm excited about reading more.
WONDER WOMAN 15 - Retribution begins and all princesses are involved! Good start to the fallout from the previous issue. I would not want to be in this villains shoes.
WONDER WOMAN 16 - "...we eagerly awaited her arrival. We hoped to see her at our doorstep, banging and screaming. Her eyes tearful. Her teeth bared. Her fists clenched. Nails digging into her own skin. Her fury was to be our victory. Instead.......we got the chimp.."
I knew right there I was gonna like this issue. Then what followed is a Detective Chimp investigation basically written as COLUMBO! I LOVE THIS ISSUE! One of the best comics I've read this year.

A few of these got better so I'm giving them all another chance.
Judge Dredd - Good start to a new arc that seems interesting.
Herne & Shuck - Good story building here and a quest!
Young Death - Extremely creepy. Interested but not sure I can stomach this.
Azumith - I don't understand this one. But it might get better as we go along.
The Discarded - Oh wow. Nice twist in this story. It might become my favorite story.
Not All Robots #1–5 - Really good story by Mark Russel. He's really much better at the independent stuff. This is timely s well with AI and the talk of robots doing our work for us.

2000AD - Some decent stories and I enjoyed the ending of Red Dragon. Yeah, that was cool. The painted Judge Dredd story was creepy looking, which was cool, the story was... well enough. Still enjoying Rogue Trooper a lot.
Crux - All this title does is remind me why it was one of my favorite comics of this time. Not just in the CG universe, but of all the comics I was reading at the time this came out (which admittedly wasn't too much, as CG's Negation is the sole reason I came back into comics after the 90's). Still, I would put this, and a couple more CG titles up there for the absolute best of 2002/2003.
Legion Ann 2 - Just "Ugh" atop more "Ugh". While I still owe Levitz an apology for thinking that the horrendous Conway written Legion was his, this book, even years later, still reinforces the point that I do like Levitz's writing. It is damn so... childish at times. And I get it, I understand why, but yeah... ugh
Infernal Hulk - Yep, one of those rare Marvel titles that has my pumped for what's around the corner. A true rarity for Marvel nowadays, and I very cool book
