Legion - Oh boy, what an issue. Everything about the legion that I love. Membership discussion!!!  ;D  Okay, all in all, giving that this had to be done, due to the membership shortage, this wasn't terrible. It wasn't great, but it didn't create as many eye-roll moments as this topic would usually. But then again it isn't the membership talk that gets me by the short hairs, its all the complaining about it and leadership that drives me up the wall, so this wasn't bad, it was fine. And hey, while I have never been a fan of Tellus or Comet Queen (or "Comic" Queen as I just typed) and knowing what I know about Sensor Girl (so not counting her as bad or good), I was very happy that one character finally made the team  8)

Imperial War Exiles - This was enjoyable, and that is saying something as I usually am not a fan of Foxe's writing, but I guess with Hickman putting a baseline down, he is decent enough at his job that this came out pretty good. I will say this has me very excited about an upcoming one-shot. Not the next one, but one around the corner!  :)

Doctor Strange - An anthology!!! Man, I am all about those right now so even though this was not a must read, I had fun. This had some good stuff in it, including a new origin of the Cloak by JMS that I both like and question at the same time, a Magik story that was cute and reminded me how petulant young characters can be  ;) and a couple more stories that tried to hit the feels (with varying results). I haven't read this character in awhile, so seeing his current state was interesting. Interesting enough that I am now adding the new #1 that will hit at some point onto my read pile. I might only get through one or two pages, as I am not recalling anything I have read or seen by the creative team in-charge of that new #1, but I am certainly trying it.  ;D

Weird.  The app showed X-MEN OF APOCALYPSE ALPHA #1 for me an hour ago on my phone.  I went to my tablet just now and it disappeared and IMPERIAL WAR: EXILES (2025) #1 was in its place.

She Hulk 12 (2004) - Ha cute! I like the use of the local comic shop. I'm guessing that's why you picked this Jimmy? Fun!

IMPERIAL WAR: EXILES (2025) #1 - Yes! The issue I've been waiting for! I liked it and I'm looking forward to Exiles #1!

Legion of Super-Heroes #14 - We are definitely into issues I never read.  I didn't know Polar Boy got in so early! I thought it was a Geoff Johns update! Great seeing new Legionnaires joining. Reminded me of the old days when the Legion had try outs!

I just need to post, but I'm caught up! and then I'll read tomorrow night, and be ALL caught up!!

Wynd Book Three  (Collects issues 1-6) - Another excellent volume with a big cliff hanger.  A different kind of book from Tynion but just as character driven as his others.

Jupiters Legacy Vol 6: Finale (Collects issues 1-5) - And that's it. The end of the legacy.  All questions are answered. And it was a decent ending.  Not as powerful as those first stories but still a fine ending.

BATMAN DARK PATTERNS #12 (OF 12) - Decent enough end to the series. Overall this was a fun series that I enjoyed quite a bit.

SUPERMAN THE KRYPTONITE SPECTRUM #4 (OF 5) - I was expecting worse but found it to be not bad. Mxyzptlk works with this writer and art somehow.

DC K.O. Wonder Woman vs Lobo #1 - ugh. I barely could read three pages the art is so bad.  Finally just flipped through it to see how it ends.

*******************************************************

Batman Patterns - A good final issue that gives us a both a decent wrap-up and a (somewhat unexpected) ending that ties-in all the other issues together. This was not a mini with four short stories as much as a mini with one large story in four parts. Cool  8)

Supes Spectrum - Ha, I enjoyed this for the most part, but I really though Jeff was going to throw his hands up in disgust with this issues plot/setting, heehee. But it seems it hit him better than I had thought it would, which is a good thing :)

Swan Songs - Each issue of this trade, written by Ice Cream Man's W. Maxwell Prince, is about an ending in some form.
1 - End of the World - A post apocalyptic story about a boy trying to get meds for his sick mom. Painted art looks similar to Ben Templesmith's style and it worked
2 - End of a Marriage - Great story showcasing the decay of a couple's marriage, but shown in a cool comic booky way.
3 - End of the End of the World - Many years after our first story, perhaps, we see life again and learn of... other life.
4 - End of a Sentence - A not so great story with a pretty darn cool ending, about a guy obsessed with mad libs. Ha
5 - End of Anhedonia - Which is a word I learned only while reading this issue. Yeah, a look inside issue. Really good, this!
6 - End of the Sidewalk - pretty much all short poems featuring stories connected to Ice Cream Man, mostly. This took some time to get through, but it ties into some of the great ICM issues I remember and maybe some I don't? Fun... though maybe a tad too long

Sacrificers - Ohhhhh, well now!!! Not saying a thing....

Escape - Is this the best comic out there? No. But damn I am enjoying this greatly. Story pushes and pulls the "heart" during this wartime setting and the Acuna art is hitting my eyes just right. So good

Skinbreaker - This is going to be one of those Kirkman slow burns, and while we haven't exactly moved at break neck speed, the art and story have me right where I want to be with this tribe so... yeah... I likey

Chronicles 2 - First of all, the double page spreads in this issue are insane!! Perez just blowing it out of the water (see what I did there?). A decent little history lesson here. But daaaaamn... those double page spreads

Chronicles 3 - Hey, two different stories (one on the seas, one in the air) but very similar battles, yeah? HeeHee. Perez once again doing a bang up job, showing artist today how to fill a damn panel!!!

Scion - This titles darkness, the coloring, is still a problem with these issues, but Cheung's art makes the struggle worth it. Confrontations are right around the corner... with the Raven family members being in the center... oh boy, oh boy!!
