Geiger - Just after I praised Pelletier for being the guy that brought me back into comics, I have to be honest and say his work on this issue was less than spectacular. The story is not the greatest, seems like each issue of this title is the same as the last, but I don't think Pelletier helped the cause here. Panel layouts were kinda weak, not what I would call exciting or original... hell almost paint by numbers like... and just seemed like a rush job? I don't know, he didn't finish the entire issue, by design or time, so maybe that had an effect on things? Either way, I expected a little more. Anyway, the last page certainly has me coming back for more.

Hellblazer - Garth Ennis' first issue and man was it a wordy one. An important one, the even used the plot device found here in the (very underrated) Constantine movie, but yes, it wasn't a quick read to say the least. A very good issue however, just needed to make more time to read it than I thought I would. Haha

F.F - Ha, what an issue!! The Frightful Four, now having only three members, hold a recruitment drive... inside the Baxter Building? Great action by Perez (surprising no-one I am sure) and the Brute returns!!! If you don't know the Brute, check into him. He is almost like The Maker v1.0  ;D Yeah, good stuff here!!!!

BATMAN #155 - I'm not a fan of what they are doing to Gordon but this wasn't bad.  Liked the reveal which helps.

Animal Pound 5 - Sad ending to a good book. I'll miss this one.

Redcoat 7 - Good epilogue for the first arc.  I rather enjoyed this simple character focused issue.

Redcoat 8 - Another good one shot story. Liked seeing Simon come up against some real evil. Glad I came back to this title.

Hornsby and Halo 1 & 2 - not a bad book but not one for me.  I'm out.

Something is Killing the Children 36 - Nice.  The start of a collection of one shots from Erica's past fights.  Enjoyed this one because who doesn't like dogs? Am I right?

Something is Killing the Children 37 - Another good one shot story.  Love the side characters even if we likely will never see them again.

Conan the Barbarian FCBD 2024 The Battle of Black Stone - Ah ha!  So glad I've been reading Savage Sword and now know who Solomon Kane is.  This will be fun seeing how it plays out across time using all of Robert E Howard's characters!

I thought the first issue was a banger, way better than I thought it would be. But issue two was so much of a let down, that I also dropped out.

Local Man - This was pretty good. A shame that more people didn't support this, but I can also see why it fell between the cracks. It is certainly a "soap opera", and love the use and homage to the 90's Image stuff (which there are tons of guest stars and call outs), but not for everyone. This trade actually collects issues 10-25... but they skipped ahead from issue 13 to issue 25 to give us that one year later feel, so it is, counting the Bad Girls one-shot, only 6 issues. This will certainly be towards the top of my re-read pile, so I can read the entire series from point A to B and soak it in better than this time around. Shockingly (not really), I forgot some of the previous plot at first and it took me a little bit to get back into the flow of the story and the past stories, but I got there. A reread will be awesome I think.

Ice Cream Man - Just so damn meta and confusing... wonderfully so. There is an over arching story, but it takes a back seat to the issue of the month and while that sounds bad, as a story structure, it isn't. So creepy, so cool. Loved the telethon. Hahaha

F.F - Another banger of an issue. The Frightful Four defeated, but Brute/Reed pushes our Reed into the Negative Zone, changing clothes beforehand, and taking his place with the rest of the group!!! Good issue!!
