ULtimates - Yuk. Just didn't enjoy this issue at all. Writing was not up to Camp's usual goodness.

Sentry - Pretty darn good start. Not the most pleasant issue, but this character isn't going to give you that comfort most times.

Bummed out that my copies of The Path has issues with the double page spreads... they are not saved as double pages, but single pages that you have to flip back and forth to read, but I checked and it seems "they" solved the issue from #7 onward, so I will pick it back up then.

Path Prequel - I think this would have been better if it came out just a little closer to The First #1, as we are basically getting that story fleshed out more here, but it was also kind of cool the way they did that.

Escape - Loving my WWII Rottweiler (funny how they have a German dog fighting German soldiers, yeah? Maybe he isn't a Rotty? ;D) Hoopla has yet to drop issue seven, so I had to read that elsewhere (I wish they had a better curator for comics to keep track of missed issues like that), but I did enjoy being able to read back to back issues, so I guess I shouldn't complain too much

Gotham Central - I am rereading this series, as I missed more issues than I had a chance to read when it originally hit, however, I think I can also appreciate it a little more now, I think, so I am glad I missed so much back in the day. ;D  I mean it's Criminal with Batman co-starring every now and then. What's not to love?

Swamp Thing - Constantine in bed with Jim Corrigan (Hey! We just talked about him) was not something I was expecting in the first couple of pages, so that was cool... though I guess you could argue that Constantine was not shown in bed with him, but... yeah, naked girl, naked Corrigan and a semi-naked John answering the door, leads me down a path that I think they wanted me to go.  ;D The story, featuring Shining Knight and Chrono wasn't overly grand though. Meh

Brutal Dark - This was much better than issue #3, but something still seems off. Nothing that will stop me from finishing this mini. I am a huge Doc Savage fan so any of this Noir stuff is going to pique my interest and it seems to be holding it well enough.

Zatanna - Man, I have really enjoyed Jamal Campbell's other Zatanna mini's/stories, but after the lack luster first issue and then this... not sure I will be on after the third issue. This looks like the other Zatanna books that I used to enjoy, but...  :(

Absolute W.W - Loved the last few pages and what it will mean going forward. Now that is a way you get a character mad at another character. 8)

Infernal Hulk - I think it was Jimmy that said he didn't like this issue, I think, but I didn't mind it. It is very odd having to contend with a writer using
Spoiler
The One Above All (or even an imitation) in this manner, as all I can think about is Kirby being shown in that F.F issue, but I also know that was explained as he appears different depending on who/what witnesses, but still. I can't not think of King Jack

Jimmy T

Infernal Hulk -  just thought the issue looked terrible and it made a terrible read. Like, I knew where it needed to go, and it was a bore getting there

Amazing Spider-Man -what a weird issue of Ex's, ex's dating estranged friends and the like- oh, and killers! I'm kinda getting into it!

Planet She-Hulk -most of the book's plot is lost on me, just want to see what's up with Jen and Jack. I think it's all over next issue. And Aaron Kuder does an AMAZING job this book!!

Mortal Thor - an issue with Magni. An odd threat and greater plan in motion. Kinda weird.

WW, Deadpool - Still intrigued enough. I'm getting to enjoy Wade's voice more here

Captain America - Jan Bazuldua's art (had to look up the name here) is simply bad. An issue to just flip pages through.

Ultimates - Eh. Meh. Is this line over with yet?

Abso WW - awesome issue! Still going great!!

Detective Comics - Janin's back -LOVE the cover!!! Love the issue. Love the mystery

Justice League Unlimited - Waid still giving me a big DC look book

Superman 38 - With Prime! I'm liking this -and him! Thanks Williamson! 2 Mora books! back to back!

X-Men - Decent enough story. I will probably stick around for this arc

The Path - So after being smart and wise enough to figure out how to breakdown and then reconfigure all of the files from this series, so that all the two pages spreads that make up this book are shown on one page instead of the two (Or, more accurately, when Jeff reminded me all I had to do was turn on my two page reading option *cough, cough*) I was able to read this series again. Haha. Now while I honestly didn't enjoy Sears art here when I originally read this, nor was the story that much of a pull for me at the time, this go around I was able to enjoy it more. Sears art is actually toned down quite a bit from his First style (which is closer to his true style) so it was nice to see. I think reading his work on the First so close to reading his work here this time, helped me see more clearly that he did tone down the extremity of his style. Plus, after seeing and loving the revamped Shogun mini, a comic series set in feudal Japan is a nice thing to read  ;D

Way of the Rat - I need to look up whatever happened to this artist, Jeff Johnson, because he was really sharp here. Very clean, with lots and lots of figure work, especially in one page that looked like old Frank Miller Daredevil style flipping. Yeah, good stuff. As for the theme of this book... it couldn't be much more different from the Path if it tried. Ha. Here we get a Jackie Chan like semi-comedy set in what would be around 13th century China (compared to much darker, Shogun'esque feudal Japan from the Path) and while I can now appreciate both books, I still found my mind enjoying the memories from this one much more, but probably only because I read so much more of this title. I will say it was a very cool juxtaposition going from The Path to this more light-hearted Jade Rat story. Good stuff!
