Post-52 DC Multiverse (2006-Current) After the events of Infinite Crisis and 52, a new DC Multiverse was established. As a result of Alexander Luthor's meddling with cosmic forces, the new Multiverse has been born. The mainsteam DC Universe takes place on what is known as New-Earth. There are 52 known universes in the current DC Multiverse, all established universes. Not all of them are known or have been cataloged as this is still a fairly new concept in the DC Universe. All ongoing titles, except Booster Gold's title, as he is a dimension hopping heroe, take place in the mainsteam DC Universe, but there are a few DC Mini-Series that are exploring the Multiverse and are tied to Countdown.
