Personally, I found Absolute Superman to be 1000% better than Absolute WW. Didn't care for her at all. The GA Annual is kinda cheesy and lame, but tolerable.

Chasm - Well I made it to page 6 or so before closing this issue out. Was kind of hopeful as it started out as a crazy story, a wild one from what I could tell, but I am not a fan of the art nor the writing, so yeah... done

F.F - Ha, extremely quick ending, borderline dues ex machina, here with this issue as Reed,
Spoiler
traveling near the speed of light with an alien being inside of a proton... haha, you would have to read the last two issues... haha, anyway... Read reaches the end of this, the eighth iteration of the cosmos and the beginning of the ninth, where he is plucked from death and teleported back in time by Franklyn Richards, that cosmos' version of Galactus (if that is still a thing and hasn't been revamped already).
[close]
Anyway, nothing overly grand here, other than lots of space and science. Good FF stuff  ;)

X-Men - I guess I'm still here, but I really struggle with this title. I just don't care. Should I keep reading? Probably not, but I do think I am suffering from FOMOOMS. Fear Of Missing Out On Mutant Stuff.  ;D I need to just walk away from this book, but it isn't bad enough for me to get pissed at but at the same time its not pushing me to any level other than gaining the ability to say "I read that issue". Meh, maybe next month will be the final straw

AvA - OH YEAH!!!! This rocked its ass off!!! Great art and a great story written by Hickman. And yes, this is actually written by Hickman (I still say that Wolverine Revenge is someone else, not Hickman, as it is written in a manner that is nothing like his style ;)). Now I know I have Alien bias, but this was good. It was bleak, but hopeful, as good Alien products should be. Yes.. perfect.
Of course I did read this right after reading that X-Men issue, so anything even remotely new and exciting may seem like the best thing ever, so keep that in mind
:)

WOW!! I thought Absolute WW was incredible, but if Supes is better? Hot damn! Very hopeful for the Supes one now.

Although I am sad that the original artist chosen to do the art on Absolute Superman, Rafael Albuquerque, wasn't able to draw the book due to the flooding in Brazil. I would much prefer him over Sandoval
 :-\
Still, I am excited for it and glad to know you like it a lot (Although I have to question you not liking the WW one)
;) :D ;D :-*

Avengers 159 - And as soon as he is introduced, he is gone.  ;D Graviton gets crushed by his own power as an entire building is compressed into a ball around him, crushing him to death, never to be seen again. Oh, wait, he comes back later? Ohhhh, comics. Good fun is what this was. Love seeing Sal doing action scenes, but even he pails when compared to...

Avengers 160 - Perez is back on Avengers in this, a pretty decent summation of the Wonder Man, Vision, Grim Reaper family drama and history. From Vision's body to his brain patterns, all is explained in more detail here. And speaking of detail, and back to Perez, holy cow, just seeing his art on the most simple things, like drawing damn pipes, is an incredible thing to witness. He makes everything so damn cool looking. Is it any wonder I look down on artist that can't take the time to draw backgrounds in their comics? I mean after growing up seeing this master's fills and background stuff? Just incredible.

Knocked out my DC early this morning, as I was up shortly after 2 am anyway. But then I checked on Hoopla and once again, it is hitting us with some less than stellar drops this week, so I ended up just adding a couple titles from my reserves (favorites) list to round out this weeks offerings

Plastic Man - Wow, well this is certainly a different take on Plas. I get it, his thinking, mostly, but not sure I like it. His thinking that is, not the book. I enjoy the book

JSA - The art... looks like I was wrong about the inker being a thing as I was really impressed with the art in this book. It has a Scott Kollins'ish style to some of it, and is greatly reduced in angularity. Maybe the Flash stuff he did was purposefully more stretched to induce speed of movement in that title? Regardless, this is much better looking than I had hoped so that made me happy. The story was pretty tight as well. Yep, a good one this.

Batman - Did NOT like the ending of this issue. Not the... not the "what happened" (okay, I'm not a fan of that either, but I can give that a little leeway as a "comic thing"), but Gordon's reaction TO "what happened" was really off for me. Plus he had to have known that the... what led to the discovery... was going to be brought out, so certainly he would have talked to Bats about it or had a better idea than... yeah. Confused about that. And I hate this Commander Star dude. I get Major Force vibes. Blah. I like Chip's writing, but I think it is time for the change that is coming. Not sure I am super excited for Hush 2, but having Jim Lee and Jeph Loeb return to Bats is okay by me.

Batgirl - Was wondering how this would hit for me as not only was I unfamiliar with the writer and artist here, I have also read so little about this character on her own that I wasn't sure what to expect. I was not into the comic scene when she popped up originally, though I have since read stories with her in them and I know a little more from that, but I am still pretty new to her, generally speaking. I knew about her mother and her past, but that was about it. I thought this was a good first issue. Decent art, decent beginning. I'm here for the next couple of issues for sure.

Action - Blah, I am rapidly losing interest here. I am not dropping it, but it has slid back further and further in my reading pile, with each new issue. There is nothing bad here, but nothing grand either. Especially when compared to another Supe's title

Absolute Supes - This was really good. My hats off to the art, something I was worried about, especially when I heard that this title was going to have Rafael on it, but man, yeah, I enjoyed the look here. Lots to enjoy in this issue but the one thing that made me roll my eyes, but didn't ruin anything, not really,
Spoiler
was the "S" stuff, once again. I miss when the "S" meant Superman and not "hope" or in this case "the Labor force"

. Other than that small, little thing, I thought this was a great issue. Was it as good as the others? I would say yes.
;D

ALIENS VS. AVENGERS #1 (OF 4) - Hickman - HOLY COW THIS WAS AWESOME!!!!!!! This might be in the running for best comic of the year.  Hickman at his absolute best.

X-Men 3 - Hmmm. I think this was the best of the first three issues.  Art still bugs me for the most part but there were some pretty cool full page moments.  I thought this might be my last issue but it's slowly getting better.  Let's see if that continues.

Legion of Super-Heroes 274 & 275 - Not a bad two parter.  I liked the space pirates and enjoyed the drama brought on with Ultra Boys amnesia.

Ha, yeah, I saw you didn't have it on your list, I should have clarified. You say you like her, is it the art or writer that is keeping you away from this or are you just not interested in it?

Agree with this, all of it. Makes me wonder even more who wrote that Wolverine Revenge comic as it sounded NOTHING like Hickman  ;)

We're two months into the Absolute-verse. Where is Booster Gold?
