Wow, I actually have no new Marvel this week, not really. I was going to add that Amazing Spider-Man, for that "8 Deaths" arc, but not sure I can deal with Mcguinness art 
Went ahead and added Uncanny back on though, to give it one more go, but with who's on the cover... I am not sure I will make it.

Also have no idea what Hoopla will drop, or if I want to try that other Madness title Jeff was talking about or go look through my Hoopla Favorites to see what books I want to finally get back to... or start. Haha. Who knows?

Is anyone going to read the Challengers of the Unknown mini?

We tried it. I was one and done. Can't remember if Jeff made it to the second issue or if he also gave up after one and I think Jimmy wasn't interested.

Of course I could easily be wrong on every bit of that. Well, other than me being done after the first issue... on that I am 100% sure of.


I tried another four issue mini from my Hoopla list this morning. It was... not good

Unbeing - The cover looks cool...



... But the story was fractured as hell. It was a little bit like Alex Garland's movie Annihilation (the one with Natalie Portman and Jenifer Jason Leigh, based on the book series about a meteor hitting the Earth and carrying with it an alien genetic structure that slowly takes over), but it wasn't as cool (Nothing will ever be as down right eerie as that damn bear scene in Annihilation... if you know, you know) but this time we have scientific environmentalists as the main cast and it... yeah... got a little... I don't know.
Skip this one, I say.

PSYLOCKE #1 - it's just not the same for me since they changed Psylocke from Betsy Braddock to Kwannon.  Story is fine but I'm just not that interested.  I'm out.

UNCANNY X-MEN #5 - Pretty disappointed in this arc ending. I'm worried I'm losing interest in this title too.

LAURA KINNEY: WOLVERINE #1 - Another case of nothing wrong here but just not for me.  Maybe I'm just getting old.

THE NICE HOUSE BY THE SEA #5 (OF 12) - I think this whole story has drug on too long.  I'm still enjoying discovering the characters but I'm ready for a faster speed.  And we're not even halfway through this one.

Legion of Super-Heroes #290 - the Great Darkness Saga part one! We're finally here and it doesn't disappoint!  Fun part one and I'm excited just like I was when I was a kid.

Geiger 10 - Awesome! Love that the characters are starting to come together. And a new one!

Redcoat 9 - Looks like this arc will be a collection of one shot stories with historical characters throughout time.  This story was ok and a decent start. Really looking forward to issue 10 though.

ABSOLUTE WONDER WOMAN #4 - Another awesome issue. Glad they aren't dragging out these monster battles too long.  The pace of this title is pretty good.

BLACK CANARY: BEST OF THE BEST #3 (OF 6) - Better issue and some good progress. Glad they didn't drag out these monster battles "why" of this fight. Now it makes more sense I'm pulled into the story more.

GREEN ARROW #20 - Gonna get preachy but that should be expected from Oliver Queen.  Good story and I like the art.  I like GA being back to his old school adventures.

JUSTICE LEAGUE: UNLIMITED #3 - I want to love this but I'm finding it kind of boring. Hoping it gets better but not optimistic.

SUPERMAN #22 - I should hate this but I can't help but find it interesting.  The Time Trapper angle keeps me coming back.

Conan - Ugh, worst issue of this series by far. Boring ass "Dynamite" looking art on a story that we've read so many damn times before. Hoping this arc is the anomaly and not the start of a new trend. I do see the same artist on the next issue so, yeah, joy! 

LoSH - Yep, still just as fun and man... I am so glad about that. I was really worried I would not enjoy this is much as I did back when I was younger, and technically, I suppose, I guess that is true (I really, really loved this back then), but it is still super fun and more than worth the re-read 

Hellblazer - A semi-wrap up issue, loaded with page after page of "the feels". Feelings that just seem wrong for Constantine, but every character needs to stretch their emotional wings at some point I propose 

Metamorpho - Less of what I enjoyed from the first issue, and more of what bothered Jeff. The art even took a drop off this time. Yeah, I enjoyed the first issue, by a good bit, but this one...? I may be out after next issue 

JLU - There was enough good to keep me here, including a mistake made by me... that I am still questioning... but loved that ending. Not "loved" as in glad it happened, but loved as in I can't wait to see where that goes. 

Uncanny - I like Gail Simone more than I don't, but I just can't seem to care one little bit about most of what the mutants are doing currently. Hoping the new Ultimate Wolverine will give me something from that corner of Marvel that I can look forward to soon?

Get Fury - A decent little yarn written by Garth Ennis, a guy who loves him some war stories. And yes, this was a good one, but this really could've starred almost any two soldiers (of similar background) and it would have worked almost as well. Sure, there are a couple personal traits and nods to both characters that only works because it is them, and not someone else, and while it was cool reading about Fury in the war again, and the brutality... again, it could've been anyone. But hey because it is them, it is somewhat cooler. Haha. Yeah, the story could've been told without them, but I'm glad it wasn't 

Barbaric - Not quite as fun as the first mini, but still enjoyable. I think Axe took too much a backseat this time around, but I like the expansion of the world. There is also a One-Shot including in the collection that I didn't know about. It was... fine

Doing a bit of catch up reading this weekend while the hubby and dogs nap.

JLU #2 & 3... gotta agree with Perry about the ending. Hmmmm. What's next?
Green Arrow #19 & 20... Not sure I like this new arc and direction, but great to have a smaller cast.
Aquaman #1 & 2... LOVE the art and the dialogue! Super happy to see
