Fishflies - A good mix of horror with Lemire's personal touch on his youth. I love a good one and done OGN, and this is no exception. I loved the way Lemire mixed up the art a little with the origin part as well.

ULt BP - Another good issue, with art that was not 100% to my liking, but was close enough to original artist Caselli. Yes, I do appreciate the way the editors chose a fill-in artist that looks similar in style to the finished product of the series regular artist. I would do that every chance I could, if I was an editor. It makes the different art not be as glaringly different, providing a false sense of continual flow that anal readers like me appreciate
;D

I have another 6 borrows remaining for the month with Hoopla, so I added a couple more to the reading pile. I may not get to them, but I would rather have them and not get the time to read them, than waste the borrows to the wind. I remember starting the Bone Parish, enjoying it, but I could never find the comics to continue my read, so hopefully I can get to that one, at least

I read....

Marvel

Amazing Spider-Man - less read, more of looked through, passing along...

Iron Man 3 - I am done with this. All the problems I've previously discussed about how and why Tony always has to restart, that and his current suit has whirly gig gears on it and he fights with a clockwork sword (yes, you read that right), and he had to win the board of his company back from the hidden partner of Belasco (you also read that right). That sounds neat, but it's really not that interesting. I'm even less interested in this than Amazing...

Timeless -was hoping my buds Cable and Bishop would really nail another out of the park, but it was just 'meh'. Thought I was reading the beginning part of Love and Chrome. I was mistaken.

SABRETOOTH: THE DEAD DON'T TALK #1 - oh yeah! This is fun. Not a fan of how the artist draws Logan but once I overlooked that the story took off.  Bloody fun.

MYSTIQUE #3 - This was a good issue as well.  I'm not sure what Mystique is up to but it's fun watching her get there!

TIMESLIDE #1 - At least it's just a one shot.  Story itself is a by the numbers time travel story.  It's true purpose was to hint at stories to come kind of like the Kang one shots of the past. For that it's ok.

ULTIMATE BLACK PANTHER #11 - Great issue! Finally the conflict is coming to a head!

Deadpool/Wolverine 1 - I liked it! Interesting mystery and action and a lot of excitement with the cliff hanger villain reveal.

Fishflies Vol 1 (Isuues 6 & 7) - Excellent series.  Enjoyed Lemire's twisted imagination on this one.

Minor Arcana - Slight spoilers
Spoiler
Ended up really enjoying this and while that it is not a surprise... that I enjoyed a Lemire title, the way it started, well, the way the main character was written, enjoying this I was not what I was expecting at first. Not that you are suppose to "like" the main character here, at least not at the jump. I understand that this character is a simile (intended or not) of Dr. Strange, and we all know that the good doc was a pure asshole early on, and I want it known that THAT is not why I didn't like the character at first (I have no issues with characters being a jerk) but my dislike went beyond that "you're not suppose to like her" aspect. I don't know why, but I truly didn't like the way she was written. However, as I got further, I found my feelings (and perhaps hers) softened and I closed the issue really enjoying what I read here and super stoked to read the next volume.

Hulk - Memories come flashing back!!! This comic, a staple for me back in the day thanks to a certain Sal Buscema doing the art, still looks as fun for me now as it did to me back then. Now, okay, it doesn't quite read as fun, yet, it certainly wasn't close to being bad however, but the simple "Hulk Smash" era can get very repetitive, so...
I do remember reading this title at the same time the Hulk tv show was out (these two issues were prior to the show airing) and it was an amazing time for me, so I am sure... well I am hopeful, that I will find the love again in the next couple of issues. If not, I move onto the next title
;D

Legion - A good 'nothing truly happens' issue where a lot happens  ;D I don't remember this issue much at all, I know I have read it in the past, but while most everything was familiar, I didn't recall it, mostly. It was fine. Giffen really starting to use the "facial line" shadow now though. Ha. Oh... and I do remember the next issue!! Looking forward to reading it again now, to see if I enjoy it as much as I did in the 'way back when'  8)

Hellblazer - A guest creative team, always a scary thing (and not in the good horror way) but they do okay here. A decent one and done... I think, though I can also see this continuing on at some point. As this issue opens, we find John at a laundromat doing a load of laundry after an exorcism he performed on his friend that caused his friend to... well... crap himself. ha, John finds two older ladies that used to work in the mat, waiting on a friend and they talk for a few. John thinks about the remaining demons that are still inside his friend, and wondering if his friend will be able to handle them all himself, but he gets a little nervous thinking about it. The ladies, still waiting on their friend, who killed herself long ago, are happy when their friend finally shows up at the end of the issue, carrying what could be a head in a bag. Yeah, good stuff  :)

Batman: Full Moon - A decent four parter than finished softer than I wanted, but how I expected. Loved the way Alfred was in this though  ;D

JSA - Bought itself another issue for me. Art is beginning to look similar to Scott Kollins as well, which is okay with me. This issue read better than the ones prior, though I still need more, a lot more, from this title. I am hoping the next issue proves itself worthy of me taking another look  :-\

Mystic 16-18 - Still enjoying this though I wish we had some more stories before bringing back this villain!

Legion of Super-Heroes #296 - Another good issue.  Liked the "day after doomsday" theme and a lot of setup for upcoming issues.

BATMAN: FULL MOON #4 - I've never been a werewolf fan so this really didn't hit for me.  The art by itself was really fun to look at.  I'd give it a lot of praise for that. But the story just didn't grab me.

Barbaric  First off, as I'm waiting at the laundromat for my clothes to finish washing (after my washer broke the night before), I opened Hoopla and noticed I still had a lot of pages left in this... this book I thought I had finished. Well, turns out that there is a 40 or 50 pages one shot at the end of this FOUR issue mini (not three as stated), and that one-shot was a blast. Axe meets Flail, who, unlike Axe, hates the taste of blood.  ;D  Yeah, this series can be a tad repetitive feeling sometimes, and there is not enough of Axe the axe ;) , but it is still a worthy read. Looking forward to the next one!!

The Deviant - Another good read, though in a totally different manner. No laughing here. A good horror/crime read, but damn the art... while pretty darn good, frustrates me the way he draws and darkens one eye, randomly, on characters, for no damn discernable reason!!  >:(

Batman and Robin - I can see why Jimbo likes this, but it isn't hitting as hard for me. I may return to it at some point, but with my list of "I want to get to"s, I think I am off this title for now

Issue #4 comes out next week.

JSA #5 - This issue was much better than previous issues.  I was considering dropping the title but this issue pulled me back in. Still wish we had a better artist but I'm back in for now.

JUSTICE LEAGUE: THE ATOM PROJECT #3 (OF 6) - Wow! Can't believe this is only halfway through the story!  I'm liking the cliff hanger. Should get to see some great fights next issue!

NICE HOUSE BY THE SEA #6 (OF 12) - I really should have read this in trade. It's good but reads slow month to month. Big twist came in this issue and the start of the end begins here.
