Going to finally start that darn Kieron Gillen comic I have been dying to start, Power Fantasy, this week. I have been trying to wait for Hoopla to get the first issue and they have yet to do so, therefor I am going to locate it elsewhere and read the darn thing so I can start this series.

Mystic 35-37 - The traps are sprung! And all heck has broken loose. This book keeps getting better and better.

ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #14 - Wow! This was a great issue with big ramifications! It's finally taking off. I can't recommend it enough!

X-MEN #12 - Good wrap up for the Alpha Flight guest appearance. This really is the best X-Men comic out right now.

Legion of Super-Heroes #306 - a nice break in the action one shot telling the history of a star Boy and Dream Girl.  Fun seeing the old clubhouse and old uniforms.  I didn't mind the election being the back drop. I thought I remembered this new person becoming leader!

Redcoat 12 - A good intro to the Northerner.  He's going to be a fascinating character and plays a good partner to Simon Pure. Almost as far good as Simon is bad.  Looking forward to the more from the next issue.

JSA #7 - Not bad and at least the art is better.  The cliffhanger is...interesting.  I do want to see where this leads.

ABSOLUTE GREEN LANTERN #2 - Good second issue.  The mystery of Abin Sur and his purpose continues to weave.  Not sure I like what they are doing with Hal but withholding judgement until I see the outcome.

ABSOLUTE SUPERMAN #7 - Best comic so far this week.  Absolute Superman is climbing up past the Batman book. This is one twisted Brainiac!

Hyde Street 3 - Christmas issue and a good story. Definitely interested in the new character introduced.

The Good Asian Vol 2 (Collects issues 5-10) - Excellent book! I really enjoyed this crime noir based in Chinatown. Edison Hark is a great detective with a great story.  I hope we get to see more of this type of book from this writer!

ABSOLUTE GREEN LANTERN #2  - so weird, but also really cool about it, too!

ABSOLUTE SUPERMAN #7  - wow, this is so cool! I had a weird thought at the beginning, was Brainiac's green going to be because he was a zombie? Dead flesh?! Ok, not the reason, but maybe could have been!

BLACK CANARY: BEST OF THE BEST #6 (OF 6)  - I really enjoyed the ride here, and did feel satisfied with the ending

JSA #7  Glad the regular artist wasn't here. Story beats were pretty good, actually.

JUSTICE LEAGUE: THE ATOM PROJECT #5 (OF 6) Enjoyed Nathan's turn, that explained where issue 4 was at. REALLY curious about the finale now!

Legion 306 - cool issue. A blast back into the past, and I like knowing Thom better -even if he's kind of a whiner, believing in all his bad luck in his life!

Legion 307 - a lot of little things that didn't feel as interesting to me, LOTS of set up for what's coming down, so the Prophet and Destroyer moments in this issue is what really interested me! But, it's all set up, so settle down Jim, it's coming! On to 308!

CAPTAIN AMERICA & VOLSTAG #1 - A nice little one shot mainly about Volstag while Cap helps him with personal issue.  I liked this very much.

ROGUE: THE SAVAGE LAND #2 - Good issue.  I like this story taking place back in the time when the X-Men were scattered via the Siege Perilous.  One of my favorite X-Men eras and this fits in it perfectly.

Fantastic Four #29 - Ugh. This issue just proves why I was right to drop it. I hope the rest of the issues are less preachy and more about fighting Doom.

SABRETOOTH: THE DEAD DON'T TALK #3 - Another good issue. Love seeing Sabertooth in the Victorian age. Dragonfire is an interesting character as well and a nice foil for Sabertooth.

TVA #3 - Not great.  I'd drop this if it wasn't a mini series and only had a couple issues left.

WOMEN OF MARVEL: SHE-DEVILS #1 - Terrible. The art was the only thing interesting and it's normally not a style I like.

RESURRECTION MAN: QUANTUM KARMA #1 & 2 - I love it.  I read the ResurrectionMan series that came out with the new 52 era but I can't remember a single thing about it.  And I'm glad. No preconceived expectations so this is very fresh for me. And fascinating. Ram V has another weird and hard to put down series on his hands.

PEACEMAKER PRESENTS: THE VIGILANTE/EAGLY DOUBLE FEATURE #2 - so this series has two stories running in each issue. First story is the Vigilante story and it generally pretty dumb but readable.  The second story is billed as an Eagley story but it really is a Peacemaker story and it's one that I like.

Year Zero Volume Zero - Good trade.  Year Zero is AWA's zombie world. And this volume starts at the beginning of the outbreak from the points of view of four different people from different parts of the world. Some good characterization.  I'm in for the next trade.
