Thor - Eh, another meta-issue with... a play on the dialog that was pretty fun, at first, and a very different artist this time around that had a very cool, dark, late 80's style at times but then also very muddy at others. It was like he lost interest the further he drew. The death in this issue was interesting, though not sure if that is going to last. I both hope so and hope not

Blood Hunt - Pepe Laraz is amazing. The story, for me, was also very enjoyable. New (to me at least) bad guys that had me, upon first introduction, almost rolling my eyes, turned into something very cool in way of villains. I am also liking that this is not just a vampire story, even though it kind of is  ;D

Scrooge - Jason Aaron's introduction to his story here is something I can relate to, but it was me on the receiving end, not the story-teller. Aaron does a decent job with this, but the true winner is the art. Not as tight and grand as Rosa or Barks, but very interesting nonetheless with lots of great stuff.  8)

LoSH - Best looking issue yet. I know this issue caused a lot of contention at the time, thus the name change on art, but I still remember the ending of this from when I first read it and it is a lot more... unusual now, reading much later. I mean, it made so much sense when I was younger, for what I thought was obvious reasons, but now... WOW!

GL - Great issue. They also almost pulled me into reading more titles with the amount of teases they drop here  ;D Back-up story, while not essential at all, like a lot of them, was pretty good. And I say that going in thinking the opposite, considering who wrote it  ;D

Team-Up - Thank goodness for Sal Buscema because this two issue arc was... pretty lame. But the draw for me, especially the many years ago when reading this title (and the Two-In-One issues of course) was the coolness of seeing and/or learning about new characters in the MU. I am not sure, but this have been my first intro into the Sons of the Tiger, for example. Plus, arcs like this, that carried over the "guest" from the previous issue were also always a win for me. ;D  But yeah, any story that has The Enforcers in it, aside from a few more current DD issues, will not be a great read for me. But I will say I ended up liking it when all was said and done. Interesting twist.

Batman/Elmer Fudd Special 1  - I realized pretty quickly that I had already read this.  But I read it again anyway!  So fun.

Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes (1977-) 249 - End of the sewer story.  Maybe if I knew who the villain was I might have been more interested but as is it didn't age well.

Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes (1977-) 250 - I remembered this.  I knew the reveal though from the hints in the previous issues.  I don't remember how this plays out but it's a good story.  Looking forward to the next issue!  Also, loved the art! Even those giant ears that I remember hating as a kid.

Absolute Power: Task Force VII 1 - Not a good start. The writing was rudimentary and the art was awful.  I hope some of the other issues are better.

Green Lantern 13 - ugh I hate that tieing into Absolute Power has derailed this story.
Hopefully we get back on track soon.

Saga - This title does a have a very different feel for me now. Maybe it is because of everything that has happened to these characters over span of issues, maybe it is just me... I don't know. I am still very much enjoying it, no doubt about that, I do have a great time reading this, but yeah, it just "feels" different. That could be the time away, reading in trade only, but I don't think that is it as I've read most of Saga in that format, but maybe it is just telling me to switch to monthly? ;D  Maybe it is nothing. I guess I'll find out.

Jimmy reminded me I had wanted to add the last arc of Taylor and Redondo's Nightwing to my reading list, so had to remedy that

F.F - George Perez finally gets his shine on with Joe Sinnott inking his stuff. This is where the greatness all happened!! Ha. Some cool stuff here as Sue practices with her new powers (she no longer only turns invisible, but can now turn other things invisible and project force fields!!!) and we get the first appearance of ole Frankie Raye in this issue as well! We also get a confusing... and soon to be retconned... Crusader/Marvel Boy semi/1st appearance  ;D I will say seeing the "Crusader" throw a big slab of concrete at someone, crushing and killing them was pretty wild for me. I didn't remember that part and it hit me for some reason! Cool

I thought I was doing so good reading the 15 or so "issues" I have read.

Oh, and I think you could just read the last 4 or 5 pages of that Ultimate Spidey and you'll be fine. ;)  At worse, you won't feel like it took you two hours to finish

Bone Orchard: Tenement - I really enjoyed this trade. Once I got started it was hard to put down.  Though you don't have to, I would recommend reading the predecessor "The Passageway" as well as the "Bone Orchid Mythos: Prelude" issue and it will enhance your reading experience.  A true psychological horror book by the greats that brought you Gideon Falls.  The art, by the way, is amazing.

So excited to, hopefully, start this next week. I have downloaded the other two, and went and looked up the free comic day issue as well (which is currently unavailable at Amazon, but I have it. Not sure I will get to them before reading Tenement though. Or at least I hope I don't have time to get to them before I can get Tenement.
