Fell behind, so moving over a title or two from last (*) This is, not counting the older reads of course.

Also, its another odd week this time around, as I have more Marvel on my list than DC. That being said, I am extremely worried about two or three of those Marvel titles, so keep in mind that quantity isn't the same as quality
(That's what she said)

Mystic - It's fine. But I'm missing the rest of the universe. And even though this title didn't tie-in, extensively, with the other titles at this time, just reading those others would help break this up a little.

Uncanny X-Men 2 - Yay! Uncanny X-Men is the best X-book again!  Gail Simone is scribing a good one so far. It makes me happy.

Wolverine Deep Cut 2 - This was a lot fun. Claremont really knows how to write Wolverine.  And a full on battle with the Marauders? Mega fun!

X-Factor 2 - Seems like a train wreck that I can't take my eyes off of. I don't care about almost any of these characters. But I do like Havok, Polaris, and Angel.  And for some weird reason I want to see what happens next.  Guess I'm around for at least one more.

Namor 2 - Certainly saw that end coming.  But the story did get more interesting with it.

getting caught up from last week myself

hoopla
Saga 70 -heh heh, good stuff again from BKV & Fiona!
TMNT 1
Savage Sword of Conan 4
Conan Battle of the Black Stone 1
Hyde Street 1

Marvel
Uncanny X-men 2 - Pretty good issue. I stay curious!
Amazing Spider-man 55 - a 'Peter' issue. Nice
Sensational She-Hulk 10 -oh, I loved this issue. Oh, I loved the feels, I loved Jen, and Rainbow got to write Jen as a person more than anything, and it was a wonderful 25 issues to just know Jen more. I do wish it could have gone longer!
Deadpool 5 - Cody Ziglar is a good writer for Wade. Enjoying this beginning arc and issues a lot.

TO READ: Ultimates 3, Immortal Thor 14, Ultimate Spider-man 8, maybe Wolverine 1 & :Revenge

DC Ultra
Absolute Wonder Woman 1 - cool start!
Green Lantern 16 - I'm very all in! Good set up for what's a'comin!
Detective 1090 -I've really been enjoying Chip Zdarsky's analysis of Bruce, thinking on himself, his body, his actions, great ending!
Green Arrow 17 - really liked Oliver's rant being turned on its head! I'm here...but the artist I'm not entirely down for
Wonder Woman 14 - Oh wow. That's how that happened. LOVED IT
Superman 19 -Dan Mora! Cool mystery of Superwoman's powers! Great last teaser page too!! Guys, read this, and give me your opinions!
Flash 14 - Dump the artist. I still want to read about Wally though!
Action 1073 - I'm so digging this Waid storyline!

********************************************************************

Penguin - Good opening (one-shot) story, a re-print issue that was... dated, haha, and then another quick hitter on the backend that was interesting. Not a must read, but yeah, good enough

Last Halloween - As a fan of the original maxi I can only say that this reads a little different, but most of that comes from the fact that each issue will have a different artist. That is both good (as I like the artists involved so... far) and bad (as it breaks the continuity feel). This issue's art was okay, I'm not a super fan of Klaus Jansen, but I respected and loved his post Miller D.D stuff so much that while I don't love this look, I can hold it dear at the same time.

Action Comics - This is still a good read, but this issue was slightly a let down. Not a massive letdown, just slightly. I want to know what the secret to the Zone is, but not really feeling the conflict nor the antagonists... that keep changing  ;) Still, the end made me more excited

Wolverine - Wasn't as boring as I feared (with that writer), but art wasn't as good as I had thought it would be. Also, my unfamiliarity with a certain someone didn't help push it like it may for some readers?

Ult Spidey - Talking heads... and more talking heads... and I loved every single bit of it. Just a superbly written, well paced issue

Namor - New character "The Bubbler" was interesting to see  ;), but I will say this issue was better than the first, so I am back for me. Plus I like the different artist doing different timelines thing, so that is a bonus

Giant Sized Thor - Meh - this was okay. A time killer and worth that, I suppose. Did enjoy seeing the old Herc (the look of the art) in the second story

Wolvie Revenge - I am trying to separate this title in my head from being a Wolverine proper story to being a thing on its own, outside of the 616 because that is what it is. And hey, that is fine, I love the What If?/Elseworlds types of issues. But my biggest... not complaint, but bewilderment when I read this issue, is how it states on the credits that this was written by Hickman, yet it reads nothing at all like Hickman. It threw me off a little from the get go and I couldn't get it out of my mind. Still, I think I am still here for this wild, wacky read (whomever actually wrote the damn thing)  ;) ;D

Mystic - See? This is what I am talking about. the last two issues here were really interesting. We get a great introduction into The First here and see a piece of their internal conflict, but damn it... we need that title, The First, to drop, to really push the lore that we get here. The art change in issue 12 was both beautiful and wonky, but I generally loved it more than the style that started the series... which was not bad, but I just prefer this look. Still, Brandon Peterson is back on art next issue, so a return to norm, but not sure I will stay around. I miss the universe as a whole and I've said before that I think this title needs the rest of the other CG titles to give us a break from being bored with this world. I will probably come back, but I think it depends on the week and how busy my list ends up being. Unless they drop the other titles of course. HeeHee

Hellblazer - Wow, I am so confused here. I get the meta statement on the Hollywood complex, but I struggle with the motivations of the... characters here and honestly... what the meaning of most of the things I am "reading" mean. Haha. I think this one went way over my head and it didn't help that this is a continuation of last months issue, based on the same story, that I have very little memory of as my brain sucks ass. Haha, yeah, I need to find out what I am missing before the next issue hits. The plane went right over my head here, ZOOOM, but maybe I am trying to read subtext when there is none to be had? Regardless, this little reader is currently lost.  :o ;D

History of Sci-Fi - A semi-fun graphic novel using characters from Sci-Fi shows and movies to give us the history of those same Sci-Fi shows and movies. Pretty cool idea, but nothing overly new and interesting. Dang, that sounds worse than I meant it to... this is good, I just don't think I was in the mood for it. But it was a free "Bonus Borrow" so... nothing lost.

Hyde St - Better than the first issue, and I love me some Reis art but man, I am getting some serious "This is just like..." vibes, though I can't recall what book I am thinking of that it reminds me of. Haha, yeah, welcome to my head, make yourself comfortable, lots of room inside.  ??? ;)

Hornsby and Halo - This book leans on being an all ages book, or at least starting out that way, but I am here for it, so far. Love what the title is actually named after. It is not the two main characters  8)

Went on a huge reading streak this morning, as I was up at 3 anyway, I figured why not. I think the Steve Gerber craziness in Defenders kept me going for a time... before I started to feel the effects of being overly tired and loopy, forced to change over to a more sinister read.
;D

Oh, and Legion of Super-Heroes anyone? Hello? Anyone there?
;)
Just kidding. It's a busy time of year. Plus I have lots more to read, no worries.

Defenders - Ha, lots of head swapping with Nighthawk's brain, Valkyrie arrested, the new Red Guardian, Power-Man, Plant Man, the Eel AND the Porcupine now in the mix? An entire lot of D-Lister drama!  ;D I will say that as much as I enjoy Klaus Jansen's inking work with Frank Miller, and doing his own work on Daredevil after Miller stopped penciling, his inking of the great Sal Buscema is not as wonderful to my eyes. A million times better than Vince Colletta, but still on the rougher side. That said, this was a fun ride, but now I'm going to jump ahead a few years, to read issues that hit when I was 10 or so, and pick up the reading list from there. Wanted to get to more comics that I (somewhat) remember seeing or reading as a kid and take a break from the crazy side for a few.  ;D

Dracula - So, reading the forward and I see this is going to be a four book series, so I am excited about that. This book was a HUGE look into the origins of Dracula and I like what Matt Wagner did here. He went deeper into the lore than I have ever seen, bringing Vlad into direct contact with the Devil himself, learning with others the ways of spells and evil. It was pretty darn good. Add in the Kelly Jones art, that fits so damn beautifully in its gore and brutal nature, and I have a winner on my hands. Now all I have to do is wait for the next one. Easy, yeah?

The Ultimates 3 - I Iiked this issue.  It's Monster Island Ultimate style.  And a good progression for the story.

Ultimate Spider-Man 8  - Good issue.  I love the introduction of the Kingpins lieutenants.  This is going to make for some fun battles (hopefully)!!

Dare Devil: Woman Without Fear 2 - Well he's no Frank Castle but the new Punisher can put up a fight.  A nice action filled issue.

Giant Size Thor 1 - Perry is right.  Not a bad special but nothing you can't miss.

Dazzler 1 - Interesting. Not sure if this is for me long term but I'll give another issue a try.

Wolverine 1 - I'm confused how this fits with the continuity in current Uncanny X-Men but I'll let that go for now. I really did like this. I'm not familiar with the villain in this issue. Which surprised me because I thought I knew almost everyone in Logan's past. I'm in for this book.

Wolverine: Revenge 1 - I liked it. Especially once I realized it's not in continuity. More of ace hat if story like Perry said. Which pretty much means anything can happen and it does!

GREEN LANTERN DARK #1 (OF 7) - I didn't care for this one so I'm out.  It wasn't bad, just not something within my interest.

ACTION COMICS #1073 - Still liking both tales in this series.

Avengers - The origin and first appearance of Graviton. A cool'ish villain with outdated, maniacal goals, but still a good read when you add that awesome, very energetic Sal Buscema art. The battle between Graviton and the Avengers was not as interesting as the battle between Vision and Wonder Man, even as brief as it was, but still a good classic issue. Although I did laugh pretty hard at how Graviton took out the Wasp and Yellowjacket by spinning a pencil around in the air while they were flying. Ha, good ole number 2 took out 2.
This is the time when Kirby came back to Marvel, sadly with hat in hand, and was given a lot of cover work. I enjoy seeing the king on most everything, especially the Cap stuff, where he fits in so much better tonally (and he does get back on Cap interiors, thankfully), but I am not a super fan of this, or most of his Avengers covers honestly.
